-late afternoon-
There was just something about humans. Humans enticed him and intrigued him, not to mention some of them just hit the spot just right and Crash was getting hungry. Hell, Doyle got to go up, so why not him? There was just something about the mortal plane that just tasted good and felt good, but he wasn't looking for anything specific. Somewhere in the woods a branch fell, loudly clattering to the ground and Crash stepped away, satisified with his entrance, thought he'd done better. He wasn't after a show, he was after snack and somewhere around here there had to be something. He took in a whiff. Human.... how sweet it is, he smiled, looking down the clearing to the road that led to town and started walking that way.
Arcadia was kneeling in that clearing, nothing special about it, looked like a dozen others in the forest. But this one held fragrant blooms which only grew there and were an important ingredient in one of her aunt's potions. The crash in the woods not far off, startled her and she turned to see him.. her head tilting as she watched him emerge from the shadows. He was headed towards town and she frowned, he was different -that certain sense told her he was not human. Arc stayed where she was, curious about the figure who turned out to be quite handsome as he grew closer moving across the clearing. A breeze kicked up, blowing her blonde hair in wild wisps across her face and carrying her tantilizing scent to him, filled with sweet, wild, succulent flavor -mostly derived from her mother's side of her lineage.
He stopped, that scent... He looked around and saw the figure looking toward him. She could see him? He looked down at himself, his arms, the backs of his hands and his feet... and rolled his eyes. Of course he was visible to himself, but she saw him. Interesting. He wasn't even trying, but since he was here. And dude... she was a girl, a hot one... a sweet hot one.. and it was her he was smelling in the clearing he realized as he came closer. His expression was as curious as it was confused. "You... you see me, right?"
Arc gave hime a slight smile, her eyebrow raising in an amused expression as she glanced around her. "I see you.. don't see anyone else.. so it must be you I see, huh?" Her fingers came up to tuck the wisps back away from her face. "I'm Arcadia.. or just Arc.. who are you?" He definately wasn't human, which was good cause if her mother ever caught her digging on a human... whooo boy she'd probably gut the guy. Arc had a bit of human in her -just the piece her mother needed to make her.. the rest had been ground up and discarded.
"Must be," he smiled, looking around the clearing and not seeing anyone else, especially his nosey brothers. "Um, hi. Crash... just like it sounds. So.. what are you doing here? It's still a long way from town." He drew in the scent again and noted the flowers. "Oh, I get it. So you're... yeah, of course you are, that explains it."
"I'm what?" She laughed softly, looking around the clearing herself and then letting her eyes flow back to him. "Are you.. or were you expecting someone.. something else?"
"A witch," he shrugged, tucking his hands into pockets he created in order to do so. "I don't expect much of anything. Around me, whatever happens happens... you know? So, I can't say I was expecting a gorgeous witch to be in the clearing and that she'd see me, no."
"I'm not a witch.." She laughed, as though she was quite amused that he thought she was a witch. "But thank you... I wasn't expecting to be called gorgeous.. "
"You're not?" He shook his head. That came out wrong and he tried again. "I mean, you're welcome, you are, but if you're not a witch, then... what do you need those for?"
