Morte's Abode - Venge's area
Venge had finally got around to bringing Raven back home after quite a bit of scavenging and she was eager to see 'everything'. "Oooo barley and hops -yum." She said with a child like joy as she dipped her finger into a cup and then put it in her mouth to taste what it was.
"so the birdy is feeling at home is she?" Venge asked with a slight chuckle as he watched her.
"Mmmm.. " She thought about it and shook her head a little. "Well not yet but she seems to like her companion." Rave spoke about herself in the third person, not realizing her error for the moment. She started taking off the dress as soon as he spoke of her being at home, he said she could wear it till they got home and that's where they were.
He started thinking she may need to be careful around his other 'kids'... being the collector he was... it was likely had spiders and snakes and icky things that might eat her. He wasn't sure why he was snickering at the moment.. hm or that she'd eat - hungry birdy. He'd take care of her.... whether she's hungry, thirsty, needy... he'd be sure she's got whatever she needs or wants.
It was a sudden movement, as he pondered that very thing. She reached, grabbed, and shoved something in her mouth, looks at him -all innocent like, with little legs or such wiggling out of her mouth as she starts to swallow the 'critter' whole.
"Hey that took me hours to catch.. spit it out... out... down... le'goooo!"
pouts, opens mouth slowly so he can take it.
*peels fussy icky bent multi-legged thing off her tongue*
smacks her lips some, still has a little flavor from it, but pouts cause she couldn't eat it. drops dress from other hand and wanders off into the room to look at all the 'shiny' things.
*plucks the buttons off the dress and stashes them in the 'room' of shinies*
"will it still work -with out those?" *tips head and looks from buttonless dress to him*
"as well as it needs to." *snickers* "for us anyway..." *buttons fall heavily into a bowl full of other sparkly buttons*... "we really have no need of clothes. Humans don't see us anyway, unless we want them to. You, however, are a different story."
She pouts and climbs down from where she is 'investigating' everything, to come over to him. "You broke the dress.. what will I wear now.. since I am different story?"
"Anything you want. You're a scavenger - you'll find something. I suppose we can find something for you, though I don't see the point. I like you like this... though you'll attract a lot of attention when you're not wearing your feathers."
She looked down at herself, tracing a lin from her navel up to her throat with one finger. "You like me like this... ?" She looked back to him, curious and then reached to hook a finger in his shirt so she could look in to see what he looked like. "They said I have to wear something when I go out.. but I don't when I'm here?"
"I'll make it easier. Here." His shirt was an illusion, part of his form. As she pulled it turned to a vapor, melting away to show the man beneath, bare and proud, though thin and lank. "Better? We're animals, Rave. We care little for coverings except that which keeps us warm or protects, or has a function - scales, feathers on our wings for flight... Humans are the ones that put importance in these things. Though I like how they place importance on things that catch the light, hm?" He held out the ring she'd found and given him, letting the light shine off it before he settled it on an upright boney arm and hand that he had made into a holder for such things. The skeletal 'tree' was heavily adorned with earrings, rhinestones, glass gems and beads of all colors suspended from their various hoops and chains.
Raven's eyes moved slowly over the form he revealed to her and her hand followed from his shoulder down, lightly. "What are you? You're not what I am.. and not human?" She asked, curious still, though her eyes flickered to watch the movement of his hand. Her eyes widened as she caught sight of the shiny tree and she moved closer to it, tilting her head to watch the pieces catch the light in different ways. One particular piece seemed to catch her fancy as she giggled and moved around it. She glanced back at him and then slowly moved away from his shiny things and back towards him.
