daytime
Trent's apartment
Sapphira reaches down from the ceiling and grabs Trent by the collar
wakes up, looks up, shrinks back a little... "what the h.... what are you doing?"
Pouts a little and shrugs.. "Being me.. why are you sleeping? I don't want to be all alone.."
"I wasn't sleeping. I was just relaxing with my eyes closed. You're not alo-... why are you up there?"
"Because.. it's nice up here.. why are you down there?"
"Gravity?" He said, looking around, wondering why he would find it suddenly unusual. He focused on the threads that cascaded around her, realizing after a moment it was webbing and not the tatters of the clothes she'd worn when she arrived. "Nice... I see you've been decorating."
She smiled, her eyes sparkling softly in the dim light, as if they had a faint glow to them. "You.. don't mind do you?.. " She leaned down, suspended gracefully from the tiny threads and reached for him. "Do you want to come up?"
"Up? Up there...? Um.. hadn't really planned on it," he stammered a little as she flowed down to greet him. His arm reached behind his head to prop and watch her, however, intrigued to watch his resident spider spin silver around his room. "The view's pretty nice from here."
Sapph giggled softly. "Scaredy cat.. come on.. I won't eat you.. promise.." She teased him, dipping lower as the strands spun gently, flowing in silver fine shimmers across his ceiling. She came lower to hover just above him, reaching to brush a kiss to his cheek, before 'springing' back up higher. Dangling like a treat just out of his reach, she seemed content for the moment to spin her lovely web above his bed.
"Scaredy cat? Where'd you learn that one from? Not a usual 'Gil' phrase. I'm not scared. I'm comfortable where I am."
"I heard little people using it." She replied happily, hanging from a single thread, arched over him and looking at him 'upside' down now. She seemed unusually happy even though it might be hard to judge as he'd not been around her for too long. But she seemed playful.. girlish.. lithe, strong and dangling above him as she spun the strands in an intricate weave.
"You sure you're not hungry - haven't seen you smile like that in a while. Actually, it looks like you've been nibbling already," he said, noting the drip of crimson on her lip. Perhaps it was instinctive, not really panic that led him to suddenly do an inventory of limbs and checking for extra holes as he shifted the cover and patted himself over a moment.
"I ate while you were sle.. resting with your eyes closed.." She grinned, her hand curling and her finger tapping her lip absently. She watched him pat himself over and stiffled a giggle, lounging comfortably where she was hanging.
"Who... where? I thought we had an agreement you wouldn't eat the neighbors," he said, gently, not meaning to scold, but curious where she'd been before 'hanging around'
"I didn't eat the neighbors.." She waved her hand and chuckled, pausing for a moment. "I don't think I did.. it's so hard to keep track when I'm so hungry.." She twirled, spinning gently down to land in a crouch next to him, still held by the strong but delicate looking threads. Her eyes were full of shine and sparkle.. michief and tease. "Seriously.. you didn't have a dog did you?"
"Did I? No... no dog. Not that it matters now," he said, curious how much she was teasing. She sounded nearly drunk which concerned him more than the thought of the missing neighbors that might require explaining later. "Seriously... are you alright? I haven't seen you like this. I mean... it's great. I like it, but, you're... you're smiling."
