April 19, 2008 9pm
Her hair was dripping from the rain which had decided to start when she was far enough away from her car that turning back wouldn't make a difference in keeping her dry, besides she'd just be stuck in her car until it stopped. It was already late enough and only getting later.. she shivered half from the cold and half from the fear of being out by herself on this long stretch of road after dark. She checked her cell again, still no signal. "Damn.." She murmured under her breath and shoved it back in her pocket, keeping her hand clenched around it as she walked. She was dressed for the party she was going to, a cute little skirt that showed off her long lean legs, a pair of heels, and a light grey v-neck top, nothing scandalous but she was attractive in her outfit. She felt a little more uneasy because of how she was dressed, like she was somehow asking for trouble by being in a skirt.
He wouldn't call it sneaking. The 250CC roar announced his presence several blocks ahead of his arrival, though most would think he was just passing by, heading home and trying to get out of the rain he'd been caught in as well. He was just another unlucky soul out on a terrible night in the unexpected storm. He'd come across the broken down car, hoping to find someone huddled inside attempting to stay safe, waiting for help, waiting for the storm to clear. The car had been empty, though, and it turned his playful mood dark. He sighed and rode off after the scent. Damnit, couldn't anything be easy tonight? The rain skewed the scent, spiraling it down gutters and into the storm drains and he simply followed on ahead, hoping maybe the scent of the lone female didn't actually turn and that she hadn't either. Her silhouette tiptoed between the long placed streetlights, vanishing completely where the light of one didn't quite reach the aura of the next. He slowed as he came closer. What a horrible night to be out alone in the dark and wet, he thought, the grin growing wider on his unguarded head. The rain streaked down from his short crop and shaved sides, dripping off the rose and stem silver earring that dangled gently from one ear, two sharpened thorns glistening on either side of it, reminiscent of all things sweet and the darker side that came with them. Even if she had music blaring in her ears, she knew he was there as he slowed along the curb to flag her down.
She'd heard the approach of the engine, she had her ipod in her purse but hadn't dared to wear it while walking, she'd only just barely reached the edge of town where there was a curb for him to pull up next to. Amber turned with relief and a certain wise caution in her eyes as they rolled over the wet rider and his bike, she swallowed but didn't say anything yet. He was the first person to come by and there was no sign of anyone else.. not even any houses or a gas station in sight.
The engine roar dulled at idle but was still loud as he yelled to her. "Was that your wreck back there? Are you okay? Need a ride somewhere? Won't be any drier, but it's faster," he shrugged, but smiled, offering just the same. Wet but quicker still wasn't as bad as wet, slow and alone.
She wasn't sure if it was the wisest idea to go off with him but what other option did she have besides walking alone? He did have a point about the ride being faster and she slowly nodded her head. "I'm fine.. my car just.. died and I couldn't get service on my phone.. It wasn't raining when I started walking.." She yelled back to him with a shrug as she seemed to hesitate and consider his offer for another minute. "Thanks.. umm if you can just take me to the nearest pay phone I can call someone."
"Sure, c'mon. Promise to hold on good? Kinda slippery up here," he admitted, his tank top being soaked but he didn't seem to mind the chill. "There's a gas station about another mile up. Sound good?"
"Yeah.. that's awesome.. I'm not sure I have another mile in these shoes. I'm surprised they got me this far." She laughed a little, it sounded embarrassed and nervous as she indicated the strappy heels. Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, she hiked her skirt up to a nearly dangerous length so she could climb onto the bike behind him without falling on her butt. She also reached out to his arm for balance, a little unsure of whether or not he'd mind her doing so. It took her a couple of minutes to get herself on the bike and situated behind him but once she was, she slipped her arms around his waist. Holding on tight would be no problem.
Nice... very, he hummed, taking a glance over the length of leg that slithered alongside him and curled almost perfectly in place. He turned far enough to reach around himself and offer a hand to her. "Name's Wink. I'll get you someplace safe, sweetheart, just don't let go."
Wink? That was such a cute name, she smiled softly at him and slid her hand into his. "I'm Amber.. and thanks again.. I really appreciate this." His hand was warm and despite the cool rain and being wet, he was warmer than she felt so she shifted closer to soak some of that up.
"So do I," he muttered, though over the engine she probably didn't hear it clearly. He checked that her feet weren't in any place she was going to get herself burned and rolled back out into the lane, careful of the small 'lakes' that made him dodge into the oncoming lane a little at times, though no one else seemed to be out on this stretch. Her scent around him was nearly distracting, enhanced by the dampness of her clothes, his senses enhanced by denied longing and the embrace around him at the moment. She trusted him and that was something to admire. He would return that favor and respect by getting her to that phone as he said he would.

The sign was half lit and cast a sad gray light onto the puddles in the lot he pulled into, rolling up under the awning first by the phone for her to make her call. He needed to fill up anyway. He'd pull around to the pump once she was steady on her feet.
If he glanced while she busied herself with holding onto him and climbing back off the bike, he'd likely glimpse the lace beneath her skirt or her shirt as it shifted off her shoulder. She nearly stumbled her first step off the bike, getting her feet and the heels steady after a second of unbalance with her dismount. "Thanks." She smiled brightly for him and dug in her purse for change for the phone.
He reached in his pocket and dug out the change, enough for a call. "On my dime, here. Okay, my almost dollar," he chuckled, holding it out for her on a steady and seemingly work-worn palm. His nails were dark around the edges like he'd seen some engine work in his recent days, too. "Don't go anywhere, okay? Let me get you a pop or something? Just gotta top this off and stretch a minute."
She just stared at him for a moment as he offered to go above and beyond being a simple good sumaritan with the ride. "Ah.. thank you." She took the change and blushed, shaking her head a little. "You don't have to go through any trouble.. really.. you've already been plenty nice." Amber didn't know what to make of his being so nice, it was sweet of him to offer. She turned back to the phone with the change he'd given her and tried her sister Emma first.
He shrugged. "What trouble? I'd lose it in the wash anyway. You've been through a lot already tonight. Pay me back sometime. I'm kidding. You like regular or diet stuff? I'm getting me one and I'm not drinking it in front of you, okay?"
"Oh.. okay.. " She smiled at him again and then made a slight face. "I'm too young for diet stuff.. regular please." Her teasing turned to a frown as her sister didn't answer, she hung up and waited for the change to drop back down before putting it in again and trying her other sister Ruby's number.
"Thank god," he exclaimed with honest relief and a laugh. She wasn't an obsessed thinnie and he noted the nice curves that filled in the outfit just as nicely in place as when it had shifted when she got off the bike. Part of the relief was hearing the lack of answer on the other end she wouldn't realize his ears heard before the change dropped down again. He put on a frown for her as she tried her second call. "Huh, nobody home? Once I fill up, I'll be happy to drop you off if you want."
"My sisters.." She started to explain, he set her at ease with his kindness and his warmth, gaining more trust as she hung up a second time. "Neither are answering their cell phones.." The way she bit her lower lip might tell him she wasn't sure who to try next or what to do, but she wasn't giving up or whining about it. She was tapping the phone lightly with her finger and thinking of what she should do. "I was supposed to meet them.. when my car broke down.."
"So, maybe they're in the same area with no service, looking for you right now? Tell you what, hold on a sec." He coasted the bike around and up to the pump, killing the engine for a few minutes. He could hear her fine, but she didn't know that or need feel like she had to yell. He walked up to her, standing a little taller and appearing quite toned and rain-slick all over to show it off. "Look, this storm's not letting up for a while and I can't look at your car until I've got some light," he started to explain. "If you want someone to, I mean. It's probably a valve or something stupid, take me ten minutes. I was on my way home, just another couple miles. I've got hot water and I might even have a clean towel."
Her mouth dropped as she hung up for a third time after trying home just to see if the girls had gone back there. She turned to Wink, once again surprised by his kindness and unsure whether or not to accept. "I.. you'd do that? I.. I don't know what to say." It didn't help that he was all wet and nicely toned and standing in front of her making her think he was probably hotter than any guy at this party she was supposed to go to. She reasoned it out, if he wanted to kidnap or kill her, he wouldn't have brought her here where people could see them, right? She couldn't go to the party soaked like this anyway and she lived farther than he claimed to, her tongue ran over her lips and she made herself stop looking over his rain soaked torso. "Alright. I guess that's the best option.. thank you."

"That's what you say," he smiled. His eyes sparkled a little as she accepted, reflecting the splashes of neon around them. "Come on inside and pick your drink. Hey look, they've got a spinner with those cheap flipflops - better than wobbly heels, huh? Pick a color. Really."
Amber laughed softly, letting out a relieved breath as he teased her a bit when she answered him on his offer. She shook her head about the flip flops. "It's not the heels that are wobbly, it's me.. I'm not used to.." She gestured toward his bike and bit at her lower lip. "It's good my parents didn't name me Grace.." It wasn't a good joke but she was making the effort not to be a freaked out wussy girl about this. "Um.. are flip flops better than heels.. you know for when you're on a bike?" She asked, reconsidering the offer to get a pair, though she might insist he let her pay for them. "Do they have pink?"
"Mmm, no, I think I like Amber, better," he agreed, stepping back to hold the door open for her. "Being yourself and being comfortable is what's best... on my bike, anyway. I can't do a thing about the rain, but the rest...?" He teased and wiggled an eyebrow like he meant more.
She blushed a little more darkly, looking him over appreciatively as he made his comments and she realized she was as soaked as he was and her shirt was clinging around her curves. "In that case I wish I was wearing jeans and my sneakers." She covered with an honest come back and pulled her eyes off him to pay attention to where she was walking. Last thing she wanted to do was walk into something in front of the really hott and really nice guy. She was starting to be glad that her car had broken down. She headed down the aisle toward the cooler to grab a cola and try to stop imagining him kissing her.
"Not what I'm wishing, but I'll let you if that's what you really want right now," he muttered as she walked down the aisle and he watched the little bit of sway in the rain-plastered skirt. He took a path around another aisle, picking up a few other things he was going to need if she was staying, which she was if he had any say. He wandered back to the cooler after a minute or two and pulled out a couple energy drinks and a cola the same flavor as she'd chosen. "I've got hers," he insisted to the clerk before she started to pay for anything.
"But if I had jeans on I wouldn't care about the rain and would have ridden with you all night if you wanted. " She whispered it to herself as he moved off, having no idea he could probably hear her as clearly as if she'd said it normally and was standing next to him. She did end up grabbing a pair of the flip flops in a soft pink color along with a pack of gum and an individual pack of cupcakes, she was about to pull out her wallet to pay for her stuff when Wink came back up and told the clerk he was getting that as well.
Wink chuckled under his breath about her comments and swung back down the aisle he'd detoured to first, acquiring a few more items before finally coming up to the counter. He wasn't at all shy about his purchases or insisting on getting hers with them. He watched her while he slid out a tally sheet from the display. "Feeling lucky?" He did wink at her as he handed her the slip to pick numbers for the weekly drawing.
Amber did a quick double take at the items he set on the counter, she blushed as her eyes widened and she diverted her gaze. She swallowed hard at his teasing comment about feeling lucky, thinking of a couple of ways she could take that and taking the slip from him instead. She couldn't even look at the cashier at this point but was sure her sisters would laugh their butts off about it later when she told them what could be one very interesting story. She wasn't exactly against the idea his items brought to mind and he likely catch it in her scent as she filled out the slip, glancing at him once she was done and ready to hand it back. "Guess we'll find out if I'm lucky.." She put the pencil back in the cup on the counter and licked at her lips.
"Guess we will," he agreed, biting at his lip a bit as he took the slip from her gently and handed it to the clerk. "This, hers, two scratch tickets, and twenty on pump two, that's it," he said calmly, taking out his wallet with the chain that rattled softly as he unfolded the damp bills. The clerk didn't even seem to flinch at any of the display despite her embarrassment, tossing the items casually past the scanner and unceremoniously into the bag. "You want to call them one more time before we leave?" He didn't want to make her feel pressured into anything. The safer she felt...
She took a moment to think about it before shaking her head. "No, it's alright. I left a message on one of the machines.. so they'll call. I do have my cell.. I should get a signal from your place, right?" She played with her lower lip in her teeth as she waited for his answer, seeming to relax a little more now that the items were in the bag and they were about to leave.

"At least a couple bars and a civilized land line," he assured her. He put his wallet away and grabbed the bag, leaving the other hand free to slide around her waist and walk with her back to the bike.
She couldn't help the natural way she turned toward him a little and kind of curled into his side in his embrace, he was warm. She wanted to wrap all around him, how did he get so lucky to still be so nice and warm even with being as soaked as they both were. It felt like his hand was touching bare skin at her waist, probably because her shirt was plastered to her, it felt natural where and how it rested there.
"Feel free to change your shoes," he leaned to speak to her quietly, but also take in the rich scent that was starting to drive him too far into distraction to wait until he got her to his apartment. He'd been almost furious to find her car and the first whiff of her but not find her in it. He couldn't begin to tell her how he felt to track her down and keep her close... at least he couldn't tell her yet. When they got beside the bike, he popped open the side bag that had enough room to put her wet heels and not mess with anything else. His hand slipped away from her side, casually sliding down past her hem for a brush of her leg before he turned for the pump.
"Thanks." She smiled, glad that was what he said rather than minding how she curled to his warmth, she was very glad he'd found her rather than anyone else. Most wouldn't notice the barely there gasp of a breath that came from her as his fingers brushed over her leg, it was like a tiny jolt that ran pleasantly through her. Thanks to his effect on her she was starting to think less about her car and more about what he had in his bag and going home with him. Could she really .. with a guy she just met? Absolutely not like her normal behavior, but that wasn't stopping her from feeling or thinking the way that she was. Amber leaned her hand on the support beam as she undid the tiny buckles at her ankles and slipped her heels off before putting the flip flops on and wiggling her toes with a slight laugh.
He chuckled as she wiggled her freed toes and relaxed more. He took a deep breath and sighed as he filled and closed the tank. He'd overpaid, but he wasn't going back in for the change. "You're welcome. C'mon - it's time to get wet with me," he chuckled, teasing her more and waiting for her to climb on.
She was a little more graceful getting on the bike this time, though she did have to hike up her skirt again, it was wet and clung to her legs like her shirt did to her torso. She was probably going to end up with a cold, but it was so worth it to be with him. Ruby and Emma were never going to believe this! Amber smiled at him and settled onto the seat of the bike. "I'm ready when you are." In more than one way, that was for sure.
*******************************
The door didn't close completely, but enough to allow her privacy while she showered, furthering the trust he wanted to build with this woman. Wink wasn't the type to sweep any skirt off the curb and take her home for a night. She wouldn't know that after watching him so far tonight, though, and he was beating himself up a little with the deep thoughts as he listened to the water run. He sipped at one of the bottles of pop, contemplating the sounds and splashes of life in the other room, occassionally glancing up as the sounds changed as she spun herself around and lathered and everything else his mind's eye envisioned from his chair. Then his thoughts returned to the folded pile on the table he propped his foot on. The top and skirt were very similar to the ones that spun themselves slowly dry in the basement laundry room. It usually took two hours in the old machines the landlord insisted worked fine even though they took a couple extra quarters every week to do the job completely. Laundry wasn't a big thing for him. He sat in his still-wet jeans for now but had peeled the tank top free and set it in the sink to dry itself. He took another sip and listened to the sounds of the water shutting off and his heart jumped a little, bringing a turn of a smile to his comtemplation. The scents on the steam made him smile a little more. He brought the pile of clothes to the door and knocked. "Hey.. not sure if these are a good size but until your stuff's dry they should work," he mumbled around the slight crack in the door that didn't give him a view, but brought a world of head-spinningly pleasant scents to him that made him take a deeply pleased breath to capture.

Her mind had been on several things as she showered, she used his shampoo but not his soaps, not knowing if his manly things would irritate her skin and also not really needing the soap since she'd showered before getting ready to go to the party. She only washed her hair because it had been soaked and she'd used hair spray in it earlier. Amber heard his knock and his voice as she toweled off and she jumped a little, startled from her thoughts and doubts about what she was doing here. Holding the towel against her front she came to the door with a small smile, making the crack larger. She expected a t-shirt or sweats or something that belonged to him, it was hard to hide her expression at seeing that he held woman's clothing in his hand. "Oh." Why did he have women's clothes? Did they belong to an ex? Were they left behind by another girl he'd brought home? Or worse did he have a girlfriend who was away and he was loaning her clothes to some girl he'd picked up? Please let him have a sister. "Thank you." She wasn't really comfortable taking some other girl's clothes and she didn't reach out for the offered outfit. "Ahh.. mine should be done soon right? I can probably wait for them.."
He chuckled and pulled the stack away with a shrug. Women were stranger about clothes than he remembered. "If you don't mind sitting in your towel, or just a tee for another hour and a half? That's really all I've got," he offered, not sure that would work for her. If things went as he planned, she wouldn't be in it that long and hopefully wouldn't care, either. In the light, with her hair down and mussed she was gorgeous and he realized he was staring. He chuckled again. "I'll... just go put these away, maybe just in the pile for the homeless or something. Too small for me," he teased, holding the skirt up to his waist as a joke.
"One of your t-shirts would be fine." She said softly, smiling again at that idea, it would definitely be more comfortable for her than some other girl's clothes. She didn't laugh at his joke about the skirt but nodded her head, he could do whatever he wanted with it. She still wondered about where they came from and her eyes ran over him full of questions and maybe a few of her doubts shining through, though she was too much of a nice girl to ask about it. She reached up to run her fingers through her damp toussled hair and bit at her lower lip. "If you don't mind me using one of your shirts, that is."
"Nope, don't mind at all," he said, watching her fingers in her hair a moment before turning to drop the clothes inside the bedroom door and get her something of his instead. He kept the door open as he dug through a low drawer and pulled out a random tee shirt for her, returning to present it to her as if it were made of gold and silk. "Hopefully this is better?"
Her smile brightened as he came back with his shirt and this time she reached for it, her fingers brushing his hand as she grasped the fabric. "Much better, thank you.. and sorry for being such a pain." Her eyes moved over him and she pouted a little. "You're still wet.. are you going to use the shower?"
He looked down at himself and the wet jeans without his shirt. He shrugged, his hands out to his sides as if offering himself and chuckled, sure from her scent she didn't mind his slicked and shirtless self. "Is something wrong with this? Actually, this is my only pair of jeans right now. That's... a long story," he said, reaching up to scratch his damp hair.
She chuckled and her cheeks darkened with a blush, she didn't mind how he looked. "..here, take the towel. You can wrap it around your waist. If you stay in those wet jeans you'll end up sick and I'd feel awful.. though I'd probably bring you soup." She smiled then as she pulled the towel away to trade it for the shirt he was going to give her.
"Maybe I want you to bring me soup," he said with a softer smile, genuinely warm without teasing as he took the towel in trade once she had the shirt. "Sorry," he chuckled, looking away and using the towel to run over his hair first.
"Then maybe I will.." She countered with a little smile as she pulled his t-shirt over her head and tugged it down so it covered her just to her upper thighs. "Or maybe steak.. you look more like burgers and steak than salads and soup." She watched him as he toweled his hair, admiring his muscles and toned form.
"Mmm... now you're speaking my language, not that you weren't already," he said, not hiding the turn of his head to admire her legs all the way up to the shirt and to her damp hair. "So... are you going to turn around?" He didn't care if she did or not, and he could just as easily step into the bedroom and close the door, but...

"Oh!.. sorry.." Her expression was nearly a cringe as she realized she was being inconsiderate and maybe a little overly admiring of him. Amber turned around to let him pull off his jeans and get the towel around him. She combed her fingers through her hair as she waited for him to tell her it was okay to look again.. not that she wasn't tempted to peek.
With the door open as it was and the mirror there, she could likely see plenty. The jeans were all he had on and they fit him like skin when they were wet. Any other day, they'd have come off to lay in the sink, too, but he wasn't parading around just yet. The towel was tightened around him and he reached around her with the wet jeans, embracing her in the doorway with his arm around her waist. "Okay, you can turn around now," he whispered over her shoulder as he tossed the jeans into the tub.
Her shirt wasn't wet this time but his hand felt warm, actually all of him did as he wrapped around her from behind. Her smile was soft, kind of shy, and a little inviting as she partially turned toward him, staying in the embrace and leaning against him lightly. Her face tipped slightly and her gaze sifted over his face. "Hi there.."
He smiled warmly again as if asking for soup, instead turning around her a little more before holding tighter and stealing a kiss. "Hi. Hope you don't mind."
She giggled softly and gave a slight shake of her head, she really didn't mind this at all, it was making her think all kinds of silly things that she shouldn't be thinking of after just meeting him but it felt good. The embrace she found herself in felt natural, like this was right where she was supposed to be. "As long as you don't mind.." She leaned up to steal the kiss back from him.
The kiss was freely returned though cut short with suggestions. "Not at all, but I'd like to get out of the doorway," he mentioned, nearly lifting her from the floor as he nuzzled down into the curve of her neck.
The nuzzle sparked a pleasant sensation that ran through her and she reacted by wrapping her arms up around his shoulders. "Well.. where would you rather be?" It was his place after all and it was only right that he show her where he wanted her to be or to get comfortable for awhile. She was pretty comfortable right where she was, his warmth and his smile inviting and tempting her closer.
"Waking up just like this every morning," he said honestly, taking a deeper breath against her neck, turning so she could see into his room. "Plenty of room in there for getting all sorts of comfortable. Let me grab that bag, okay?"
"That sounds wonderful." Amber believed that he meant it, if another guy had said the same thing to her, she probably would have laughed and rolled her eyes, but with Wink she felt different. When he said it, it sounded sincere and she leaned down to brush an ever so light kiss over his shoulder as he nuzzled. She looked into his room and bit her lower lip, another light blush tinted her cheeks as she nodded to his second suggestion and tried not to let herself think about it or what was in that bag, too much. "Alright." She agreed and hoped that she wasn't about to make a huge mistake, she already trusted Wink a great deal and she knew that she wanted whatever was going to happen.
"Go ahead and find a spot in there you like and get as comfortable as you like. You've had a rough night. I'll be right in," he said, sliding free with a soft and fleeting kiss over her lips.

Without him right there curled around her, she felt chilled and climbed onto his bed once she entered his room, it seemed the most logical and comfortable place to be. Amber pulled his covers up over her and sat up against his pillowes at the head of the bed, she didn't think he'd mind the spot she'd chosen but wasn't yet confident enough in how well she knew him to be sure. She was waiting for him there with a small smile, inviting and hopeful that he'd approve and join her to warm her up again. Her thoughts drifted to the kisses they'd shared so far and then went on to imagine more, sweetening the air with the light scent of longing.
The energy drinks definitely weren't needed tonight. Those he put away in the mostly-empty fridge but brought the pop and two full glasses of ice. He quietly fiddled with one of the boxes in the bag, making sure it was prepared and in reach if and when... The light change in her scent was winding him up tightly and making it difficult to keep the towel on. The only thing he wanted on him was her! He took an ice cube in his teeth to cool himself down a little, playing his tongue around it and getting a few ideas as he did. The bag was slid down onto the floor on the side opposite her and he crawled up the end of the bed to reach her glass out. "Looks perfect. You doing okay?"
He was gorgeous in that towel and probably even better out of it, Amber's thoughts had surprised her several times since meeting him but everything about him was just so... damn! "I'm a little cold..." She hinted as she reached for the glass with one hand and for him with the other.
"Mmmm? Well put this down over there and let me help you with that," he said, putting his own on the floor and creeping closer. Once her glass was down, he stopped and knelt in front of her curled up knees, reaching around to the headboard on either side of her shoulders, bringing him close.
Her breath came in sharply, but in a good way, when he leaned over her like that, this guy could not get any hotter! Her lips trembled between a gasp and a smile as she slowly shifted her legs, uncurling them so they weren't blocking him from getting as close as he wanted to. She certainly didn't want him to stop or stay back and she proved it by reaching up to the back of his neck with one hand while she leaned up to try to steal more kisses from him.
"Mm.. much better already," he sighed, diving into the kiss and gently pulling the cover down away from her. The towel wasn't staying tucked around him long, but he ignored it. Again he sought her neck, her scent, the feel of her skin under his fingertips. "Amber, let me ask you something, completely off the wall. If I ask you to stay with me a few days, would you?"
She sank back into the pillows as he responded to her, the way he kept going for her neck really pushed her buttons in all the right ways. His fingers were so warm and she wanted to feel them trailing over every inch of her, she arched slightly into his touch. "Yes." The word fell from her lips as they brushed his shoulder, she didn't even think about her sisters or work or any plans she might have had. He wanted her to stay and she wanted to stay with him more than anything.. other than wanting just him. That part was quite clear in her scent as her fingers started to work their way over his shoulder. The thought of her sisters finally worked it's way into her mind and she murmured it to him with more kisses to his shoulder. "I'll have to try calling my sisters again... tomorrow.."
"You left them a message already. Let them call you. You're going to be very.. very.. busy," he suggested, pushing the covers away and running his hand up her thigh and up beneath the tee shirt to her back to support her. "Do you like scary stories, the kind that give you chills?"
"You're right..." She agreed easily about the call, she'd left them a message, they'd call once they were done with whatever was keeping them too busy to answer her call. She liked the chills he was giving her now and lay back against the pillow to gaze warmly up at him as she pondered his question. "Sometimes.. if you're going to tell me a scary story you better stay close after to protect me."
"Oh I will. My favorite one is Little Red Riding Hood," he started, grinning a little, but his version was definitely no fairy tale.
"Little Red Riding Hood? Unless you know another version of that one.. Well the Grimm version is kind of dark but.. alright.. tell me.." She reached to try to bring him down to cuddle more with her while he told her this scary story of his.

"The once upon a time part is the same. A little blonde girl is all alone on this treacherous path to get where she's going and get home safe. But something happens on her route one day, and she finds out that there are others on that path that don't want her to go home," he started, pausing now and then with gentle caresses on her back and the kisses on her shoulder.
Amber listened and so far it mostly sounded the same with a few minor changes to the wording from the version she'd heard as a child. The gentle caress and kisses to her shoulder now and then were delightfully distracting. For a moment she forgot about the story and just basked in the sweet attention.
"This guy comes up to her and he's checking her out but there's something about him she just can't place. He wants to know what she's got for him and she tells him they're her goodies and doesn't give him any of what she's got. She blows him off big-time, but he follows her to see where she goes. He's pissed off, but plays it cool and waits for the next time. She does this for about a week and finally, dude's so mad, he tells he a secret," he said, letting the light hit his eyes just the right way for a split second to make her wonder.
Amber listened to how the story started to change and something in Wink's eyes made hers widen, she stared up at him in wonder for a long moment. Her voice was soft when she spoke and asked him to tell her more. "So.. he was angry.. stalker guy? Wh-what did she have that he wanted so badly?"
"Well see, he was angry because he'd made this promise to himself, not to tell anyone who he was or what he was all about, okay? But man, when he smelled those goodies she had, he was all over himself trying to find a way to get some, you know what I mean?" He chuckled a little, biting his lip and the light changed, dimming as he turned to kiss her arm and snake himself around her more, letting the towel slither and discard itself as he shifted the tee shirt she wore. "Cuz the girl was one awesome cook and she smelled so sweet...," he said, taking a deep breath filled with Amber's scent.
She wasn't sure why but she was starting to feel uncomfortable with him doing what he was doing while telling her this story.. the story was actually starting to frighten her. She didn't quite understand why. Amber reached to try to shift the tee back where it was before, not really being comfortable with that much touchy-feely in light of the story being told. "So.. what happened.. when he told the girl.. his secret?"
"At first, she didn't believe him and she laughed which kinda made him more mad, you know? He never lied to her and had no reason to. Here he's breaking a promise over her to tell her something and the b*tch's got the nerve to crack him down. I mean, you wouldn't laugh at a guy if he did that, right?" He understood her nervousness but like he'd said, the story was probably a little scary - he hadn't lied to her, and wouldn't.
"It wasn't very nice of her to laugh at him. Maybe she was nervous? Some people laugh at not funny things because their nervous." Amber suggested with a slight pout, relaxing into his embrace a little more, with it just being him holding her and not tugging at her shirt. "What happened next?"
Wink noticed the pout and the way her scent changed a little with each passing moment. He'd promised it was a scary story and it seemed she was reacting to it as he'd expected. As long as she didn't laugh, everything was going to be juuuuust fine. "Well he was all twisted, wicked mad at that point and he showed her, proving that he was really, all this time, a werewolf and he'd been wanting a lot more than just what was in that basket she had for the old folks' home. He wanted to check it all out under her hood. You know what I'm saying? But see he wasn't a really bad guy. He was just this wolf and where he was, folks just didn't like that and they wanted him and anything like him dead. Well he'd told her his secret and even showed her and at that point he wasn't mad anymore, he was just kinda hoping that... you know.. maybe... she thought he was cute enough to scratch behind the ears once in a while, keep around for a swing around the trees in the woods whenever she wanted, but you know what she did? b*tch said no! Can you believe it?? So... he ate her."

Amber was holding her breath as he seemed to finish the story with the ending being pretty violent. She slowly let out the breath, he'd know she was scared by her scent but she didn't freak out even though somewhere inside her a voice was screaming - run! She didn't laugh or seem like she was amused at all, her fingers resting on his arm, her thumb brushing over his warm skin. She was scared of him and yet undeniably drawn to him. "I'm not a werewolf and I don't know any.. or if I do they never told me they were.. but it does seem a little extreme to eat someone cause they weren't into you?"
Wink shrugged and the light in his eyes seemed to shimmer more with his smile. "I wouldn't worry about that... you said 'yes' already," he whispered. "I mean... he was a kid and he kinda maybe over-reacted a little, sure."
"Right.. he maybe just might have over reacted a teeny tiny bit." She held up her fingers about a centimeter apart. Her chuckle was soft and barely there and her hand dropped back down against his arm. "..but she did laugh at him.. and then rejected him. I'm sure that must have hurt him.."
"Well he learned a lesson when the hunters came after him and he booked it out of town pretty quick. Don't show anyone your true self unless you really think it's gonna work out. He moved around a while after that, pestered this pig farm for a bit and he skinnied up to this other blonde who smoked too much and had this problem breaking into people's houses when she was stoned... don't mess with bears, man. But he grew up and out of that shit and laid low for a long time until he was riding home one night."
Amber licked her lip and tilted to kiss his shoulder, she was still scared because she believed all of the things he was telling her and she believed he was speaking about himself. To know such things were real.. well it was frightening. Her hand brushed over his arm as her eyes searched his face, she didn't believe he wanted to hurt her. "Was it raining that night?"
"Buckets," he said, giving her a wink with the smile as she tried to figure him out. She smelled so damn good with the fear and trust intertwining, the curiosity peppering everything into one luscious dish. "But he was too busy trying to find a way to do things right that time that he didn't notice so much."
"He must really like blondes.." She dared to tease a little, his smile was awesome and she reached to run her finger over his lip. "Why would he tell this girl.. when he'd only just met her?"
Good question... and one that was hard to answer if she didn't live on instinct and fulfilling obsessive desires on demand, which he was being very careful to control for fear of hurting her or truly scaring her. His head bowed a little with the sigh. There was no delicate way to put it. His gaze returned to match hers, seering, burning, wanting very much to indulge, but his leash was held firm. "The blonde thing... totally coincidental. The lust thing... is all entirely you, Amber. You believe me but you're afraid to. I can't blame you and if you still want to back out and go home, I won't stop you, but I don't want you to go. I seriously want you to stay. I want to tell you and show you everything because I don't want you to be afraid of me and I don't want to hurt you if... well, when we.. Daaaaamn, yeah I could seriously eat you up, but not in the killing and maiming kind of way... you know what I'm saying?"
"I'm not.. afraid of you. I'm sure I would be if you decided to kill me. I'm more afraid of.. werewolves being real and that they kill people.. You know, I was walking in the middle of the night all alone.. what if you hadn't come by.. " She bit at her lower lip, and glanced down for a moment not wanting to think what could have happened if it was someone who hadn't found her so appealing. "What do you mean by you don't want to hurt me .. when we..? I get what you mean about 'when we'.. but I don't understand the hurting me part.."

"Shh... don't think about if I hadn't, because I did and you're safe here. Some people out there haven't been so lucky. You watch the news? This is one tough town, girl," he said, curling down beside her now so he didn't seem so threatening. If he didn't move, he was likely to stop trying to explain with words and just show her from where he hovered, ready to pounce. "I could still hurt you without trying to, just because.. when I get into it, I won't stop til we both howl. Could mean broken furniture and who knows what else," he suggested, catching his own lip in his teeth, chuckling with the delightful thoughts he conjured up. "Unless... you do something else for me, first."
"Like a broken.. Amber.." She said quietly, understanding that he didn't want to hurt her but could with his.. eagerness and his strength. He was a creature of legends, he had to be very strong. She watched his expression and shook her head slightly. "I really smell.. that good?" It was a little weird to think about herself being so appealing and her scent drawing him to her this way. "What would you need me to do for you?"
He answered her first with a kiss on her arm like she'd given him then he leaned up to kiss the corner of her mouth. "You do smell that good. Something about the rain makes everything smell even better, so I'm really hurting here," he sighed, partly groaning away his withheld anticipation. "You could tell me that you'd let me make you like me... cuz man do I want to hear you howl."
She giggled a little when he kissed the corner of her mouth and told her more of how he was affected by her scent. It was exciting to know she had such an effect on him, that he wanted her that badly, her next few breaths were deeper. "Make me.. like you.. a werewolf? How.. what happens to me.. and does it hurt.. alot?"
"Like the worst sunburn and the worst fever you've ever had in your life, but you know what? It goes away fast and after that, even things like that don't hurt so much anymore. Your bones don't break hardly ever like they would now, and you can run marathons without hardly blinking. Okay, so you'd have to want to run a marathon, cuz me... I think that's pretty dumb, personally," he rambled, nuzzling and curling around her warmth with his bare form. "I'd have to bite you hard enough and wait for the fever to pass. I'd be here with you the whole time, though."
"What happens after the few days you asked me to stay are up?" The way he curled and nuzzled was enticing and knowing how much he wanted her, helped to sweeten her scent with desire and she was seriously thinking of saying yes to letting him bite her. It was crazy.. completely but that didn't stop her from wanting it or him.
"You want me to tell you another scary story?" He glanced up at her with a wickedly boyish grin and kissed his way up her neck. "I keep you, you keep me, the days turn into decades and they're never really up."
Her fingers slid over his arms and up to his shoulders, she sighed out softly at the kisses up her neck. "Mmm I like how that sounds.. I really.. really.. like it." She smiled and shifted with him, no longer caring about keeping the t-shirt in place as she turned to try to catch him in a kiss. Her whisper was soft but he'd hear her clearly. "Bite me.."
She believed him enough to consider and agree without having shown her what he was! Wink hummed and laughed against the kisses, stretching out and ensnaring her fingers, tangling against the covers that still hid her from him. The towel slid finally to the floor near the box he'd set up in reach. He let go of her to grapple it back to wrap her in once he delivered her transforming marks. "Bite me back. Anywhere. This is going to hurt and you'll want to scream. It's okay," he said gently as he kissed over her shoulder and nipped tenderly at first.
"It's okay to scream?" She asked because if it was going to hurt like that, she was pretty sure she would scream and didn't think she'd be able to bite him back or stop herself from screaming. She flinched at the gentle nip and then sighed with a bit of frustration as she'd expected some horrible pain because of what he'd just described - only to have him give this.. nip.

"That was just the warning shot," he muttered, glancing up at her now with his eyes full of crimson fire and the fury of the raging beast within him that wanted her and wanted her NOW. He'd only prepared her for the next slice of the razor teeth he flashed briefly in his smile before sinking them deeper into her shoulder until he tasted the warmth of her blood. He held her tenderly despite the harsh intrusion, consoling as he could through the first few moments.
He was right about it hurting and after the shock wore off and she could breathe, she did scream. The fight or flight instinct kicked in and she began to struggle against him, though he was much stronger. Her legs kicked out at the air and her body arched beneath him, her fingers dug harshly into his arms and shoulders.
His jaws clamped roughly to ensure the bite was deeply torn and that his essence, the venom that made him what he was, spilled into the tissue to course into her system freely. She tore at him in return though he held her to keep her from hurting herself as she flailed and writhed against the pain. Just a moment longer, he reminded himself, tears of concern for her trickling out of the corner of his creased eyes, knowing the pain she suffered. A few moments longer and the wondrous numbing would follow, the euphoric release from the pain and the slow and gradual lifting from her pure humanity to a creature of grace, strength and instinct. The towel he'd pulled up was set under her arm, the dampness of it he hoped would be cool against the heated punctures. He released his teeth and began to lick over the wound.
She had stopped screaming, and lay there in a bit of a daze as he lapped over the wounds he'd made, she was shaking slightly but it was more out of a bit of shock rather than fear. Tears dampened her cheeks but didn't flow for long as the numb feeling began to spread and the wounds no longer hurt as they had before. Her hands shifted and released their grip on him, though she groaned softly at the movement of the shoulder he'd bitten. Her fingers brushed his face and she felt his tears, her eyes closed and she lay still as he continued to soothe her. Her hand remained on his cheek, tenderly cupping his face.
"I might get used to that," he smirked, nuzzling against her fingers a moment. The wound was sealed, but purposely not yet healed. The change had only begun and would take a while. He would make sure she wasn't left with an angry scar, not there. A mark of ownership... he chuckled to himself and brought the smile to her lips. "That wasn't so bad, was it?" He asked, certain it was, but the power it would give her, he hoped she would understand its worth.
She pouted at his question, her eyes still damp and shining with tears though they'd stopped flowing down her cheeks. "It hurt." She murmured, her pout melting into kisses against his smile. Amber didn't move yet, the wound felt numb but something burned and spread from where he'd bitten her. Was this the sunburn and fever he'd told her of, she trembled partly in fear, partly in shock. "I'm a little scared." She admitted softly, hoping he would understand.
"I know," he smiled, smelling it on her skin and hearing the tremble in her voice as much as he felt it under the soft kiss. He moved the towel to cushion her arm a little more comfortably. "But you're not afraid of me. I'd know the difference. I don't want you to be afraid .. that big bad wolf in the story just got a bad rap, that's all. Me? I'm one of the good guys," he promised with that same devilish grin.
He knew... it was comforting that he could sense the difference and knew her fear wasn't of him. "Ahh!" She couldn't stop the small cry as he shifted her and the towel but settled against it with a sigh. "You'll stay close.. till it's finished? You won't leave me alone?" She reached for him again with her other arm, needing to feel his warmth.
He didn't apologize for the rough propping and shifting, hoping the less attention he paid it for the moment, the less she'd focus on it herself. "I might go out for a jug of milk and some hamburgers, but that's it. No, I won't leave you alone," he said, letting her tug him down beside her. "Gonna get used to that, too."

"Get used to what?" She asked, feeling a bit confused but somehow knowing that she needed to be distracted from the pain and burning. Listening to him talk helped, besides he had this sexy voice.. he could read the dictionary out loud and probably get her all worked up. "Hamburgers and milk.. sound good.. we should have some later."
"I can get used to all of it - you, just you. Laying here like this, the way your fingers feel...it's different. We'll worry about food later. It's good that you're hungry, though. Heh, then again, you think you know about cravings and being able to control them? Just wait," he teased, seeming to work on a few little cravings of his own as he smelled her skin.
"Tell me more.. " She smiled a little, turning as if trying to nuzzle into his cheek as he came closer to smell her skin. She could feel his breath against her, sending a slight shiver through her and sweetening her scent for him. "How do my fingers feel different?" The burning sensation was slowly spreading but the further it moved away from the wound, the less the wound and the area around it hurt. "Tell me everything.. about cravings and what it will be like.." Her fingers brushed over him softly wherever she could reach, curious and trying to explore.
"First, your fingers feel different than other girls. Sorry, but its true. They're stronger... what's the word... you can pick up the tiny shit like a single hair... probably stack a house of cards like nothing, too. Maybe it's not just one thing, but I like it. Feels nice, like you mean it," he said, fading a little distant, perhaps to the wolf in the story. "Anyway, it's nice, okay? Heh and the cravings? Shet, like you could go through seven boxes of Apple Jacks without blinking and still want that burger. And stuff you never thought you'd eat in your life starts smelling good, sounding good and ... man, my mouth is watering right now," he said, nuzzling her a little more and turning himself under the touch of her fingers, encourage them to trace any and everwhere over him.
"Don't be sorry.. I'm glad that my fingers feel different than other girl's.. hopefully better.. heh I don't think I like the idea of other girls touching you. mmm no, I definitely don't. Want you all for me.." Her smile curled up as her fingers began to roam more boldly over his skin, his warmth felt so nice. "Come under the covers with me?" She asked him with a slight pout, she didn't like the sheet between them. "Speaking of cravings.." She chuckled softly and managed to lean up to kiss him, she was starting to feel strangely feverish and restless at once. Her lips tingled as his venom worked itself through her system and she needed to kiss him, now!
"Yes ma'am," he nodded, shifting slowly, trying to keep her kiss close and still crawl around the pile of rumpled cloth to reach her. He'd been seconds from pouncing and licking her all over moments before, but without the barrier now... and she was the one talking about cravings? He let out a tiny giddy laugh as he stretched out alongside her.
"Mmmm.. still too far away.." She teased and invited him even closer with her comment and the tug of her hand to pull him up over her again. Her hands sliding all over him now that there was nothing between them, her kisses starting to explore and nibbling over his jaw. "Ohhh.. those cravings aren't just for food are they?" She teased him a moment before but each second that passed she wanted him more and more. Her nostrils flared slightly as she got close to his neck, his scent suddenly stronger and groaned softly with need.
He chuckled and crawled closer, as he was earlier, looking down into her eyes and reaching behind her to the headboard, holding himself only inches away. "No... far from it," he agreed, holding on against the scents that began to roll between them, the combined desires and testing curiosity building ever so nicely and quickly.

"Will it always be so... mmm.." She licked her lips, her eyes closed for a moment as she searched but could not find a word to describe it better than the sound of her desire humming out. When her eyes opened again their was a faint glimmer in them, she wasn't fighting the change and perhaps that's why it moved so quickly through her. "God.. you're so.. mmm.." Her eyes travelled over him and how he leaned over with his hand on the head board, her breath slowly growing heavier and she lifted herself up to kiss his throat.
"Yeah, it'll be so ... mm.. a lot," he chuckled, stopping as she reached to kiss him. He leaned closer, careful of the arm he reached over, but scooping her up with the other to tangle her against him. "You have no idea," he muttered, his own eyes shining like moonlight as he pressed against her knee.
"Good.. I think I'll want mmm alot.." She felt different, stronger, bolder, more wanton but soley toward him, her legs shifting and sliding along his. "Wink.. I've never felt this way before.. I mean even before I let you bite me.. so drawn to someone.. so attracted.. trusting quickly.." She shook her head a little, not sure she was making sense but trying to tell him anyway. "I think I have an idea.. but.. I want to know.. can we.. " She had tangled eagerly around him, the glow in her eyes growing stronger as she gazed into his, her fingers dug lightly into his back. The question was left incomplete as she nipped at his neck and shoulder.
"Not yet....damnit mmm.," he groaned, not sure what damage he would do to her, but the change was already showing and her scent changing so rapidly. She wanted it and he wanted her. The box was out of reach and the furthest from his mind right now as she filled his senses more by the moment. "Mmm.. maybe. Don't be afraid to fight back," he warned, stretching and sliding against her, encouraging her to wrap around him and not let go.
The pout etched deeply and the disappointment made her eyes sad and puppy-like as he first denied her, though her attention on him only stopped for a moment. Part of her didn't care that he'd said no, part of her wanted to make him change his mind. The maybe brought her smile back out as her fingers ran down to his behind, which she cupped into a firm grip and used to pull him more tightly against her. Somewhere inside she was shocked at herself, always such a good girl and even a little shy.. this behavior was so unlike her yet somehow she managed to do it with her brand of sweetness mixed in. She was worried that she wouldn't be her anymore after the change, that it would change her personality but it seemed she was still herself, only more intense and definitely bolder when it came to her desire for Wink. She wanted him like she'd never wanted anything before, it was almost too much to bear and part of her hoped she'd always feel so strongly for him.. it was incredible. She slid beneath him, oblivious to the wound on her arm, her lips and teeth nipping at his chest and her tongue lightly lapping along his skin here and there.
He curled and arched as she explored, nearly begging the tranformation from him to allow his back to twist and twine more easily. He instead fought for control over that change in favor of relaxing other levels to her care. "Amber...?" He wasn't sure what she had in mind, but for the moment he didn't care.
She didn't even know what she had in mind, really. She was just following instinct and the feelings that flowed through her, the desire led her down his torso. The nibbles stopped low on his navel, close to his waist as he said her name. She tipped her head back to look up at him, questions in her eyes but more prominant that that was the soft crimson glow of wolfen passion. She reached up to him with a slow and deliberate motion, her teeth grasping at the skin at the front of his hip, her cheek softly nuzzling. She was showing him what she wanted, teasing, and asking him for permission at the same time.
He turned to allow her to play and stretched out to his side. His permission was given in the stroke of her soft hair and a slightly awed smile he gave her. She had heard his warnings and it appeared she was willing, more than, to egg him on. Amazed, though still aware of the ongoing changes and her newly-found senses, he reached back to the headboard, holding it for now should he need to claw or snap anything.
Amber had never done this or gone this far with anyone, so at first when he shifted to his side she thought he was trying to move away from her or tell her no. Even though he stroked her hair and smiled at her, she was hesitant to try and resume her attention on him. She'd been perfectly comfortable as they were and was free to explore his canvas easily, sliding up or down and reaching everything she wanted to without moving very much. She felt akward and stupid for not simply knowing what to do or how to get comfortable on her side to do what she'd wanted to do. The instinct and desire to continue was there but she just didn't know how to get where she needed to be and surprised herself when the frustrated growl rumbled out. Her eyes widened and her hand lifted from where she was trying to somehow prop herself, to her mouth as if she'd cussed.
