evening
Veinna Estate - Scarlatto's office
A week spent in her room without calling for food until yesterday and not coming out either, had finally been noticed. Her uncle was the first to interupt the bliss and give her quite the reminder of the rules of the house. He'd left her in Tripp's care and sent in Tyler to heal her up mostly, but of course Aberto had to tell her father what he'd discovered. So now both Jaime and Tripp were in Scotty's office listening to him as he scolded them both for their behavior. Jaime did her best to behave while this went on, after all she knew the rules and had disobeyed.
"I would like to remind you Jaime, that as long as you live in this house, you're still bound by house rules. Family rules, sweetpea.. you know the reasons. Now this... fine young man," he gave Patrick a wary once over, obviously displeased. "Has so far obliterated the sanctity of four of those rules, the first notwithstanding that he never came to me to ask my permission to see you."
She took a deep breath and then started. "He... doesn't know the rules.. because I didn't tell him. He didn't have time to come ask you, since I have been keeping him busy. Further more you told me to go out and find some fun... I did.. and I found something even better... you should be happy for me." She pointed at Patrick and snarled the words at her father. "He's not gay.. like all the other boys you neuter before letting date me!"
"He made you date gay men?" Patrick whispered with a small smile.
Scotty raised a brow and stepped beside his daughter. "Keeping him busy? Enough not to introduce him? Enough to let him in this house without notifying me or your personal guards? When I told you to go out and have fun, Jaime, I was not giving my open permission to cross every line of decency we know. For what little that may mean. Look at him.. he's so much as admitted he's a criminal.. breaking into our network."
"A business man... no less of one than yourself, Scarlotto," he turned the arrogant smirk on the man. "A little hasty to cast stones, brother."
She sighed and looked at Patrick then at her father. "Daddy... keep better track of your business associates." She folded her arms and glared. "Carlisle consulting.. ring any bells?... I've been conferencing with Patrick by phone for months now... He is part of our network."
A satisfied grin of vengeance swept over him as he watched the man's face. "Seems you accuse a wolf of entering your pasture when it was you who left open the gate... sir."
"Consulting..," he murmured, watching the man more closely and coming to his side. He tilted his head back in an arrogant stance, then came to look him in the eye sharply with the glint of a viper. "I hate consultants... always getting in where they're not wanted, hm? So you're legal, but sounds like you're poking unnecessarily into our affairs. I want you off the property and Jaime, I want you to cancel service with... Mister... Carlisle here."
"Good.. I never liked dating a man who worked for the family." She smirked. "I guess we're going out Patrick... you fancy some dinner?"
