Pale Moon Ridge
PMR is a roleplay verse based around the rural town of Pale Ridge and a group of werewolves who call the forest surrounding the town their home. Pale Ridge is one of those towns that was lost to time and seems decades behind the rest of the world. The town sprang up around an old saw mill which is still in use and many of the local men are employed there. There is a small downtown area which is a cluster of buildings and streets stretching out over a few blocks, from there everything becomes more spread out. Pale Ridge is a mostly wooded area in the valley the mountain it was named for, it is broken up by the occasional field or farm but the houses are far apart and your neighbors are not closeby. The roads are long and winding, narrow and not well lit. For those who have the luxury of a cell phone, the service is fine downtown but as you get further out there is no signal. The population is small and most folks know each other even if they don't consider themselves friends. Most people drive trucks, as the roads get rough during the winter. The town thrives on the tourist season when campers and hikers come through on their way to enjoy the 'scenery'.
The wolf pack has been around Pale Ridge since before the town sprang up, but has mostly kept to itself, not disturbing the town too much. People will go missing now and then, usually it's one of the tourists and it's assumed they went off the marked trails or were merely unlucky enough to come across some unfriendly wildlife. It keeps the townspeople cautious and has spurred a few local legends but no one really believes those stories.. Now and then the pack comes across someone they feel is worthy of joining and that person is changed rather than killed.
For 200 years this has been the mostly peaceful cycle that has kept both the pack and the town safe from each other and it's possible it could have gone on for another 200 years but something happened to change the rules. A group of men from town captured one of the woles and brutally killed him.. Now his family wants revenge, the pack is out for blood..
Through the level headed guidance of thier leader Mitch, the pack has decided not to simply attack the town and destroy it in a furious sweep. The plan is much more systematic, they are finding the men involved with the attack and targeting them and thier loved ones. An eye for an eye, the men took something from the pack and the pack will take something from them.
Suddenly the number of missing persons rises at an alarming rate, causing a wave of fear and panic to begin rippling through town. People don't want to go out at night or alone, the stories and whispers begin to spread. Some of those who go missing are taken into the pack while others are simply ripped apart.

The original or existing pack at the start of the verse has been established, if you wish to be part of that you will need to discuss it with Tripp. Her character was chosen as the pack leader when the verse was created so you just need her approval to be part of the original set. Other wise your character will most likely start out as human and be turned by one of the werewolves.
