A ripple in time...

It may have been a matter of seconds or a matter of years. For whatever length, there has been a change in the series of events since the Uprising, a war of unprecedented carnage brought on from the depths of Hell. Mankind suffered unduly in this war and lost all but a few to remain stranded and alone in a world no longer their own. It wasn't supposed to be...

Some mothers have never had their children. Bonds of servitude and bonds of marriage have been severed as if they never existed. Most of mankind still sleeps soundly unaware of the dangers that lurk in the dark beyond their doors. This tranquility is thanks to the Powers-That-Be, though the reasons for such a grand-scale use of power have been lost to everyone... almost everyone.

Some beings have been 'awakened' to the events of the ripple itself and some recall disjointed and macabre details of the war that raged before it. Some now suffer unexplainable deju vu with no relief while others are comfortably unaware. Others still are uncomfortably afraid for no known reason and may never know why...

The premise:
(Or What this means)
The Powers That Be have reset the universe after Alkonost was unleashed by Gabriel and utterly destroyed the world of men, which was never supposed to have happened. Not all creatures lost their memory of the time before the reset occured, however, so some are doomed to repeat their same mistakes again and again, some are plagued by an encumberingly haunting deja-vu and others have made entirely different alliances than they would have considered before the reset.

Only a few characters discussed and approved by the Admins are aware of the reset - all Demi-god characters and a scattered remainder of others will allude to their level of recollection occasionally as they play out.

Disclaimer: Any character in this verse CAN be killed - some permanently - with the approval of the management or by the character's player.

Characters can be of human, were-creature, vampire, or demon origin. Demi-god and God/Goddess characters are only played by the Admins or with Admin permission to help keep the balance fair among the other players, due to their very powerful nature.

Here is where we will tell you, the major events, the births, deaths, marriages, everything that is note or rumor worthy. This thread also serves as a timeline for the verse and stories as well as a history for some of the characters.

Events prior to the ripple

• The Nosferatu are said to be the first vampires, animal like and disfigured they can not hide amoung the ranks of humans.
  
  
• Zethu is the first of the non -Nosferatu vampires known to walk the earth. He sired several vampire children before making a name for himself.
  
  
• 1444 BC -Asael a barren sorceress calls upon her powers and her gods/goddesses in plea for a child. Her call is answered and a deal is made. In exchange for a child of her own she will bear the gods three children. Two to be taken upon their birth and placed as they pleased, the third to stay with Asael until it's 25th year at which point they would return to reclaim the life they had given.
  
  
• 1419 BC -Zethu is called upon by Asael to 'save' her son from the deities who gave him life and promised to take that life in his 25th year. Zethu sires Tarka creating the first and only demi-god/vampire hybrid.

• June 21, 1488 - Something that never should have been is born into the world in the form of a daughter for Gabriel Kisslinger.
  
  
• Summer 1705 - Gabriel's obsession with Annia Montgomery comes to a tragic climax when he attacks her and kills most of her family. Her turns her and her brother Jorden, making them unwilling members of his vampiric family.

A ripple in time 'erases' the recent events and resets the universe..

• June 21, 2006 - The Ripple is set in motion. Morte plays his part in this event with great joy and amusement. Deacon returns to the map room with a surprise guest and Morte helps to turn it into something else - creating the 'girl' they call Raven.
  
  
• June 21, 2006: A man comes into the Montgomery Inn, out of the storm and seemingly out of Annia's distant past. The man reminds her of someone she knew as a young woman, in fact he looks exactly like her first and true love and shares the same name. She is wistfully reminded but knows it is impossible for them to be the same man, as she knew and loved Galen over 300 years before.
  
  
• June 21, 2006 - Sapphira stumbles upon Trent near a portal after The Ripple has been set in motion. They are soon joined by Gil as they battle two demons. Gil introduces them properly and leaves Sapphira in Trent's care.
  
  
• June 21, 2006: During a strange storm caused by the Ripple, the forest comes alive to aid with the return of one who was lost. Given form once again by the powers that be, the beloved Keeper is returned to tend her flock.

• June 22, 2006 - Ember's soul has been taken from her and returned to it's original owner, causing her to become ill and near death. Alkonost is not happy about her daughter's condition and lashes out at all around her. Raziel mistakenly brings Lily to the palace in an attempt to cheer his queen.
  
  
• June 22, 2006 - Doyle brings Ember to the Inn and attempts to find her another soul as her condition grows worse.

• 2006 - Decendants of the Montgomery family have passed away, Jorden and his sister Annia return to the family home in Telus.

• June 25th, 2006: Azrathene pays a visit to Gabriel Kisslinger, in her own manner she points him in the direction he could take to reclaim some of his former family. He thanks her for showing him and providing the opprotunity..
  
  
• June 25, 2006: Gabriel crashes a frat party with a few of his minions and reclaims Larson into his brood after giving him a refresher lesson in how things work. He also captures Devin but she is left unturned, as he allows Larson the opprotunity to claim her this time.

• June 26, 2006: Gabriel takes Larson and Devin back to the keep, giving them a nice suite, though it could use some freshening up. He leaves them to adjust and the two begin to sort out what has happened to them and what their future might hold.
  
  
• June 26, 2006: After returning to the keep and leaving Larson and Devin, Gabe goes to his rooms where Az joins him for some conversation. A servant comes to the door to inform Gabe that his daughter has been rescued from the keep while he was gone. He flies into a rage at the loss of his most treasured possession.
  
  
• June 26, 2006: Raven finds Venge while he is out scavenging and joins him, she explains what and who she is. At first he is a bit confused but once he understands her way of describing it to him he is pleased.
  
  
• June 27, 2006: Kiefer comes to the call of a being along the road leading to the Montgomery Inn, but the creature she finds is not what she expected. Deacon is surprisingly delightful to her and the two share an enlightening evening together, including dinner at the Inn.

• Sept 5, 2006: Deacon and Kiefer run into each other again when they are both on seperate missions at the local hospital. Their interaction is pleasant, even a little teasing despite the dismal nature of their tasks.

• Sept 10, 2006: Morte teases Deacon about falling for Kiefer and about falling in love at all. He teases his son about wanting to be a grandfather. Deacon is not ready to admit that he is in love with Kiefer and protests the idea. The conversation turns to what might happen...
  
  
• Sept 10, 2006: Deacon is troubled by his talk with Morte and his distress calls Kiefer to him, the two begin conversing over what Deacon has on his mind. It leads them to another level in the relationship and they grow much closer than either could have expected.
  
  
• Sept 12, 2006: Venge teases Deacon and runs off to find Raven, Kiefer appears once Deacon is alone. The two exchange a pleasant and teasing banter that turns serious with the help of Pharz and of the love that Deacon and Kiefer feel toward one another. Kiefer makes him an offer he can't refuse..

• April 27, 2007: While out on a hunt Tasa meets a mysterious man, she soon gets the impression that he's not human but she is yet unaware of what he truly is. She ends up in the park battling some vamps when her mystery man shows up to help her...
  
  
• May 10, 2007: Tasa and Justin meet up again and he teases her about her outfit though at the same time he admires what he sees. They reveal more about what they are and their reasons for being in town, it appears they have similar motives.

• June 21, 2007: Jorden's friend Seth shows up at the Inn with a request and a proposition. Jorden is glad to see him and happily accepts the offer for him to redo the interior and decor of the Inn. Seth takes and instant liking to the cute blonde desk clerk, Sara.

• July 22, 2007: While covering the bar, Keller admires a beautiful guest and shares a drink with her. Some 'secrets' are revealed as a bond forms between them.
  
  
• July 22, 2007: Lazarus comes into the magic shop looking for help to close a portal, Lola finds him scanning through the books and gives him her undivided attention. She agrees to help him with his problem and he tells her where to meet him.

• July 28 2007: A strange man comes to rescue a girl who has been kidnapped by a pack of werewolves. The leader of the weres does not want to give up the girl without a fight, this proved to be a fatal mistake for him and a costly one for his two princes.

• August 4, 2007: Heavenly ducks into a room to avoid her human boyfriend, with whom she is less than satisfied but dating him helps her to keep up appearances. She finds she is in the pool room and not entirely alone. Garrett emerges from the pool and she is strangely drawn to him as they begin talking.

• August 11, 2007: Heavenly decides to take Garrett up on his offer of coffee and exactly one week after they met, she is waiting in a little diner wondering if he will really show up. He shows and they begin talking, finding they have much in common - both weres, both of their families killed.. He offers to help her and at first she is hesitant to accept.
  
  
• August 11, 2007: Garrett follows Heavenly back to her house and begins to learn more of her secrets as he teaches her more about what they are and helps her discover more about her past and her family.

Pharz finds delight in the incident and the effect Kiefer's agony has on those around her, while Kiefer tries to return home to Deacon. Kiefer collapses, drained from the episode and the negative emotions.
