Evening
Gabriel's Keep
A few days after the ripple, Azrathene had returned to set new gears in motion and offer new ideas for those who would take them. He listened to her now... if only he'd listened to her long ago. The Goddess of Opportunities watched him often, amused by his ideas and fanfare even while sitting still. Gabriel was painfully aware of all that had been taken away from him and here he sat, ministering his ideas to rebuild and renew and perhaps have even more fun with the changing and alignment, knowing who else he would need to find. Her assistance guided his hand over his papers as he drew out his thoughts out loud...
"...and yes.. others to be fleshed...," Gabe chuckled
"Fleshed, not flayed," she smacked him, real and solid enough to feel as she came more into view. Az eyed him warily as she sat on the edge of his table. "Be careful, Gabriel..."
He laughed. "What about you doll? You wanna have some fun?"
"Always." She rubbed a speck of smudge off his lip and smiled, "I just bring you your choices and watch."
"Don't you ever want to play? Just a little?"
She smiled more sweetly and kissed his cheek. "I do, Gabriel. You're one of my favorites to play with. That's why I'm here."
"You know what I mean.." He grinned and offered her a lap to perch in if she wished. "Now my lovely tempting.. minx.. what do you think.. carnage? I think carnage and that Larson fellow on my team.. I think I know a lovely he'd enjoy.. and I'd enjoy teaching him how to take her properly.."
"Hmm.. Carnage hasn't been around much to play since your little... mistake... hm? He's never far off, though, if you want to give him a call, but like me, he doesn't chose sides, so watch yourself. Larson is an interesting choice, however."
"You are wise and beautiful.. too bad I can't have you on my team.. but yes, I do believe Larson and I have an appointment."
"And you're a sweet tongued devil, Gabriel. I've cut more worthy tongues out for my collection... best not to ask what I do with them then," she teased and stepped away. "I'll open the doors for you to find your toys, but how you play with them is up to you."
"Az you're such a tease." He smiled giving her a wink as he stood and reached for his glass. Lifting it to her in a nod of respect and admiration, he drank his silent toast to her.
As silently as she appeared, she'd left, leaving him toasting shadows and echoes, but she saw and smiled. Carnage was Mercy's brother. He was usually in a foul mood and he'd topple soldiers left and right on a whim if it suited him. It concerned her that Gabriel would call him to task. What are you after this time, she wondered of the wizened old vampire whose camp had changed so drastically. She perched quietly to watch as she'd promised. Perhaps Larson held promise, but he lacked discipline.. which for Gabriel's terms was as much an asset as a hinderance. This was the type of play she preferred, maneuvering the men to be played as she gave Larson a nudge.
