The shades were drawn tight and Mack had said there was no direct sunlight in his apartment, so it wasn't some glaring light that made Eli stir beside him. The bed was tossed and tumbled, the two of them tangled in the covers and each other, their clothes scattered around the bed, some pieces torn in their excitement. It was dark in the room but Eli knew it was daytime, some internal clock telling her it was afternoon.. she no longer jumped out of bed to rush about during the day. After the sun set she became more active though now she had someone to be awake with durng the day. She didn't think running errands would be on the top of their list of things to do. Eli snuggled into the covers and kissed Mack's shoulder, her hand rubbing lightly over his chest. For the first time in a long while, she felt happy.. more content.. almost peaceful.
