The candles were lit, the music on soft and low, the tub filled with very warm water and lots of bubbles, her tray beside it with a mixing bowl, some powders and herbs and vials of liquid. A bottle of tequila sat on the edge of the tub along with her glass, both in easy reach. Terra was in the bath with a small book in her hands, her feet propped over the side and her hair clipped up to keep it mostly out of the water. She was trying to help a friend with a summoning spell that had not worked for them, more trying to figure out what they had done wrong. She murmured some of the words softly, taking a sip of her drink and licking her lips. She looked over the spell again, closing her eyes and singing out a few lines from the song on the radio. One more look. she told herself and then she'd put it away awhile, she glanced out the window at the view of the clear but cold night. "Stupid Valentine's Day, damn men.. where is a tall dark handsome and charming when I need one?" She asked with a sigh and looked down at the book, murmuring over most of the incantation but not all. Terra closed her eyes again and reached to set the book on the tray with the rest, she couldn't figure it out and really wasn't in the right mood to be messing with that sort of thing.
He'd experienced the feeling before, but it wasn't something to which one became accustomed. The burning and rending sensation tore at him anew as he was pulled from the realm that had become his home only to return to the one he'd so willingly left decades before. Julian blamed the transport on his precarious footing at the veil through which he had been viewing the mortal realm in search of new subjects and willing drifters on which to test his magicks. The edge had always been slippery, but had not concerned him when he had larger projects occupying his attention and a great amount of work to be done. Those plans and half-cooked concoctions were lost in a mist beyond his grasp as he emerged painfully into a tangible form on the bright side of the veil, though not within a very bright room.
The space was filled with a candlelit mist similar to his workshop, though warmer and far more sweetly scented. His head cocked as he listened to the strange music, uncertain whether or not he approved. It was disarmingly calming and melodic. He shuddered though his thick clothes kept him quite warm. Where had he emerged... and when? Moreover, why? He'd noticed the rim of the veil had become more warped and unstable in recent memory and the humans had become more fearful or angry - or both. Perhaps the cause of the instability had reached inward through the portal and simply plucked him out - hopefully temporarily and he could soon return to his work. However it was he'd arrived, he was sure the music here wasn't to his liking and he looked around the room to find its source. Distant memories trickled through his mind's eye as he viewed the candles and porcelain fixtures through the steam and he made sense of the surroundings though it was somewhere altogether unfamiliar from any place he'd been in his previous life. He wondered again aloud as his gaze drew over the dampened, soft skin of the intriguing creature enveloped in the bath, "Why am I here? And who, may I ask, are you?"

Her eyes opened at the sound of a male voice and her expression was clearly surprised as she saw a man standing in her bathroom. "Ohh.. well you're not my white knight, are you?" She recovered from the shock quickly enough to make a light joking remark as she sat up and forward. Realizing the view that gave him, she sat back so the bubbles covered her again. "You may ask who I am, but I will ask you the same in return." She glanced at the book and the rest of the items on the tray beside the tub. "My name is.. Terra." She paused and decided against giving him her full first name, she liked her nickname - it suited her better.

"Terra?" He repeated the name and looked around the surroundings again. He smirked and nodded at some humor he found. "Earth... with fire and water? You forgot air and shadow - or did you?" He certainly appreciated her own elements that the brief view afforded as much as her elemental tools. His eyes flashed black and he leaned down over the edge of the tub to view her closely, nose to nose. He glanced back at the page her book was opened to and returned a less-blackened gaze that seemed instead to sparkle around a warm, mossy green. He smirked again, muttering his conclusion, "You're a witch - my lucky day."

Terra was no fool, while she faced this man bravely, she knew well enough not to be arrogant and to remain cautious even as she quipped. "I've been called worse." Her smile was almost playfull as she looked up into his eyes, glad that they were no longer all black. That had been a bit unnerving, she didn't shrink away from him but for now, also made no move toward aggression. "Who are you?" She asked him in return, curious about who and what had appeared.. she'd get to the why and where he'd come from, shortly. "Why is it your lucky day, handsome?" She had no name yet, but also no reason to be rude as she suspected she may have brought him there.
