oh and look... luckier still.. he's left you allll alone up here...
*breathes in deeply and steps closer* nice to see you.. alone..
Not allll alone
*stands beside her and runs a finger or two through her hair* no, not allll alone...
"Where's your girlfriend?" She asks with a polite, bit slightly sarcastic smile.
"I dunno... wandering somewhere. Where's the G-man?"
"Getting us drinks."
"Well isn't that thoughtful of him."
"I didn't even tell him what I wanted."
"For me and him."
"Oooo... icey. C'mon now... I was just kicking up the conversation.... Annia. If he's getting you drinks already, that puts me at the disadvantage, doesn't it? I can't ask you what you'd like but...," he looked around, not seeing Devin right off, but seeing Galen headed back with the glasses. "I could ask you to dance until he gets back."
"Thank you, but no thank you." She said softly, less edge to her words than before.
"You're quieter than I imagined," he said softly in return, looking her over again as Galen returned. "Ah.. well... would have been a short dance I guess. How about clever conversation?"
"What did you imagine? And why would you be imagining anything about me?" Her head tipped to the side and she gazed curiously at the man. Something about him, it curled her stomach and gave her nervous butterflies... not as badly but similar to the way Gabriel did.
"Hm? I mean, I get a sorta picture about a person when I meet them and I just figured you were... I dunno... more of the ... wild type."
"Perhaps whether she's 'wild' or not and with whom isn't your concern, Chris," Galen said politely with a cold tone.
She raised an eyebrow at Chris, as if to say Galen was right. Annia moved to Galen's side and smiled at him. "Thank you, love." She murmured, kissing his cheek.
"Gets much colder in here, gonna hafta put on a jacket. You two are somethin' else," he chuckled and leaned to Galen. "Don't worry so much. That's not the kinda wild I meant."
"Perhaps we're just wary of strangers... nothing wrong with trying to be safe is there?"
"So stop being strangers already and relax.. we're all friends in this place," he smiled, motioning open hands to the room filled with demons and other interplanar beings, finding his hand curling around Devin who'd returned.
