Rayen was seated on a bench, watching the wind blow gently in the trees. She wrapped her jacket tighter around her waist and frowned. Her appointment was tomorrow and she was feeling a bit scared. The disease wasn't supposed to come back. Had she eaten wrong or over worked herself? Is that why she had to suffer through this again? Rayen sighed and kicked at a rock by her foot. She didn't feel like thinking about it anymore.
He was in a foul mood and hungry..not really but in the mood for a kill. He spotted the young one on the bench...oh so alone. A tastey morsel, she had the faint smeel of death on her already...poor thing was going to die. Gabe smiled, a wicked grin really and moved towards the bench. "All alone...tsk tsk...little one should be at home.." He said in a sing songy voice.
Rayen was slightly annoyed that this stranger thought he knew best for her. He had no idea. "That wouldn't be a problem if I was in the same city as 'home.'
"Ohhh child, far from home and all alone.." He stood just behind the bench where she sat. His cold hand touched her shoulder. "That's even better...no one to miss you."
'Great' she thought. 'This freak's gonna murder me.' She got up to leave. "I don't have time for this. I haven't updated my will yet."
He chuckled. "That's too bad, because I have nothing but time... an I fancy a little bite before going on my merry way." He moved faster then was humanly possible. He was suddenly in front of her, grinning, long, sharp fangs glinting in the moonlight.
Rayen yelped and sank back down onto the bench. "This is really not my day.. really."
He lunged in, but paused and looked at her face....it was like seeing a shadow of the past. "What is your name little one?" His eyes glowed softly as they gazed upon her face. He leaned toward her, hands on either side of her, gripping the bench behind her.
"Uh.. Rayen?" The look of surprise in his eyes shocked her.
"Such a pretty name... such a pretty child." He whispered. Gabriel looked into her eyes. "Do you know what I am?" He asked her softly.
"I'm guessing by the fangs you're either a vampire or some weird animal freak.." She didn't want to sound so 'smart' as her mother says, but he was really creeping her out.
"I am a vampire." He held her eyes with his gaze. "Do you want to die, Rayen?"
"No, but just incase you're doing this to be all big and bad, try having cancer twice in your life, you are nothing compared to it." Rayen was beginning to get angry. She was trying not to think about dying, not come face to face with some long toothed freak trying to kill her.
He smiled, almost tenderly. "Actually...I was asking, because I can smell the death on you... you will die from this cancer you have." His voice soft, regretful.
"Well thank you for your input, but my appointment isn't until tomorrow and I wouldv'e liked to not know that for one more day.. so actually, no thanks for your input."
