Jaime had never been so happy to get home, the weekend had not been as great as it was hyped up to be.. the clubs were alright but all in all she would have rather stayed home. She parked in the short drive beside the house and got out of the car, she was in a short skirt, heels and a nice top, all which showed off her slender form and gentle curves in a very appealing way. She looked more like she should be going out than coming in, but with a groccery bag in one arm and her weekend bag over the other shoulder she headed for the door. Her keys jingled in her hand and the door swung inward, she lightly kicked it closed behind her, not really paying attention to whether it shut tightly or not. Jai dropped the groccery sack on the kitchen counter and called out for her sister as she headed into her own room. "Lily! I'm back.. are you here, sweetie?"
Give her time to read the note, he said to himself, coming up to the step after she'd parked the car. It was just as well giving her time to settle a bit since he'd gotten stiff hiding in the bushes the past few hours, not knowing she'd stop at the store first. At least he was sure he had the right house. She was the spitting image of Lily, though she wore her colors far more .. mmm was all he could think of to describe. Lily was certainly worth a match over, tooth and claw and winner take all, but now that he'd seen the sister, well damn him if Tripp hadn't been right. He wouldn't admit it to him anytime soon. He had other things to manage first. How long would it take to read a note? Let her find it first at least, he said to himself, standing and shaking the long wait out of his shins as he paced around the shadow of the driveway, hidden by her car.
The note was left on her bed so it didn't take Jaime but a couple of seconds to discover it after getting into her room. She held it in her hand, pouting slightly as she set her bag on the floor next to the bed. "Lil?" She tried again with the pout coming through in her tone, if her sister wasn't home who would she vent to about her trip? She sighed as she went across the hall to Lily's room, she really wasn't there! Jaime unfolded the note and started to read it as she headed back into the kitchen to take care of the grocceries.
His ears perked up at the sound of her voice calling out for Lily and finding no response. Now or never, he decided, darting around the far side of the car to get to the walk as if he'd merely come from up the street. He didn't care really if the neighbors happened to watch. Most wouldn't do anything even if they saw something strange which was something he repeatedly tried to tell his kinderwulf brother, Tripp, the newly-turned, paranoid one. Nevertheless, Taidgh did appreciate well-placed caution in light of recent events and Tripp's careless indiscretion for so openly dissecting Lily's ex outside the very house he approached, yet another stranger in a short period so soon after Chris's disappearance. He sighed. Next time, send the professionals and bring the babies home to their new daddies instead of letting them run amok, he noted. He had the key ready in his pocket, just in case, but knocked first, wondering how easily she'd trust the note she was left. How hard is it to spell Taidgh? I've told him a dozen times at least, he muttered, thinking it would have been so much simpler to say his name as a confirmation. Tall, dark stranger? Good, so very vague and terrifying. Did you happen to notice if they have a gun? His thoughts sparred against his absent brother as he waited to see if she heard the knock, hoping she really didn't have a gun.
Jaime tended to worry more over Lily than herself, her sister was such a gentle and sweet girl where Jaime was more.. tough. She hated to admit that she shared the sweet and gentle qualities of her sister, but she did have that side to her as well... it just wasn't often shown. Jaime had finished reading the note when the knock on the door came, was it that perfectly timed? She chuckled and shook her head as she headed to the door, she peeked through the small window before opening the door. Her eyebrow arched up as she regarded the man, she held the note in one hand and the door in the other. "Who are you?"

"Hello," he waved, appearing shy and awkward, though some keen alertness in his gaze said he was anything but shy and he was looking at details. The note was in her hand and his kind smile faltered a little. He swallowed the pride back a little as well. "Tall... dark.. nevermind. You were expecting me? It's about Lily."
"You're not very dark.." She observed with the slightest of pouts though oddly she found him very cute. He was not at all her normal type. "... would you mind?" She made a little circle with her fingers, asking him to turn around for her perusal.
"Excuse me?" He looked completely, genuinely confused a moment. Spin? What? Oh!! "What, is there a bee on me?" He looked at himself first, then turned as she'd asked, keeping watch over his shoulder for anything she might hit him with before he turned face round again.
"No bee." She sort of smirked, she just wanted to see if he'd do what she asked and to sort of let him know she was in charge.. a mild way of asserting her dominance over him right off. "You can come in." She stepped back with a brighter smile, motioning him inside.
"Strange girl," he said, although somehow it sounded like a thank you at the same time. He followed her in and shut the door behind himself. "It is Jaime, right? She only mentioned one twin, but.. well I suppose if there were more than one, it wouldn't be twins. Right. So, Jaime... I'm Taidgh. I can spell that for you since my arse brother still can't."
"Why would I need to spell your name? It's not like I'm in junior high and I'm going to write it all over my notebook with hearts and 4-ever." She laughed, glancing back at him with a teasing smile. "Of course I'll expect you to be around if I get it tattooed anywhere." her hips had just a little more sway to them as she walked in front of him to the kitchen, and yes it was for his viewing pleasure. She went to the cupboard for two glasses and then pulled the bottles of rum and coke from the groccery bag, setting all of it on the table and heading to the freezer for ice. "Have a seat."
"Can I choose yours? I mean.. where are you going to sit?" He grinned, caught in the meandering thought as he watched the curves beckon him forward. "Do you have any? Tattoos? Good a thing as any to talk about, break the ice a little. Oh, no ice please - just straight, no cola."
"Man after my own heart.." She murmur sighed under her breath as she took out the ice for herself and came back to the table, patting one chair on the long side of the table and motioning to the one next to it for him. "I have a few.. a tramp stamp as my friend calls them." She motioned across her lower back to indicate where that one was. "A wolf right here.." Shepointed to the back of her shoulder. "I want one here but still haven't decided what I want." She brought her hand around front and down low on her hip to and area that would be covered by her panties.
He frowned, thinking seriously as he watched her hand slink over every inch as if inviting him to touch. "Hmmm... I'm thinking you need another wolf. A fierce one, you know? Something that would guard your property under penalty of death, if you know what I mean?" He was definitely staring, though he glanced up a moment. "Which... mmm... well, that does bring me to why I'm here."
"You know it's kind of funny.. I really thought about getting the wolf there, but decided that it would be a tight fit... for what I wanted." She put ice in her glass and filled it with the run, then filled his with just rum, she splashed just a tiny bit of coke into hers. Jaime sighed softly as she slipped into her chair, giving Taidgh a more gentle smile. "So.. about why you're here.."

"Tempting to think so," he muttered, not realizing it was out loud until the clink of the ice against glass got his attention. He took the drink she poured and slurped down half before taking the seat she offered. "Well, for starters, you have my apology for it going all pear-shaped from the beginning. My brother gets his mind set and there's no reasoning with him some times. That being said, your sister is safely in his care. They were both tremendously concerned about your worry. That - is why I'm here. To answer questions... and, well.. I suppose, to help you relax."
"Starting out the explaination like that makes me think we're going to need alot more to drink for the rest of the story and any relaxing.." She bit at her lower lip but let it go in favor of sucking down about half of her drink, looking to his glass to see he'd done the same. She poured more for both of them and regarded him quietly as she took a few sips. "Why.. is she in your brother's care and not home?"
He watched her fill the glass and wait for answers. "She's... come to live with us, with him. He thinks the world of her and ... he wants her to stay," he said carefully. He stared at his drink then downed the glass, frowning back the sting and motioning for another refill. She was right that it was going to take a lot more. He caught his breath. "To be his.. wife."
"What??" Her eyes widened in shock and disbelief as she made the exclaimation, she almost scoffed and shook her head. "His wife.." She spoke more softly, almost a whisper as she refilled his glass then drained and refilled hers. She didn't look at him directly though he might know that she was hurt and shocked. Tears shining in her eyes that she stubbornly blinked away and her hands curling and flexing around her glass that she started drinking more of. "It's not like Lily.. to run off with someone she just met.. she's the more sensible and cautious out of the two of us.. it sounds more like something I'd do.. I'm more impulsive."
"Was hoping you were," he admitted quietly, reaching out a hand to steady hers on her glass before it shattered into her palm. "Jaime, there's more to it than impulse. Much more," he said, waiting for her to look up to see the peculiar shimmer in his own eyes that wasn't tears.
"Why were you hoping I was?" She asked softly, she stared at his hand on hers, feeling how nice and warm it was. She slowly brought her gaze up to his face, her brow crinkling slightly at what she saw in his eyes. "I think maybe you should start talking about that more."
"A bit of a wild man myself, sometimes. It's nice to meet someone who understands that. Oh... you mean the..," he motioned to the shine he knew was visible in his eyes, sloshing the rum in his glass a little. "It's a trait that runs in our family, along with instinct, and I suppose what you called impulse, similar to animals in the wild finding the one creature above all others that turns our head with the brightest of colors, or sweetest of perfumes. Not unlike normal men, actually, when I say it like that." He stroked her hand a little then sat back, taking a smaller sip from his glass.
Jaime brought her glass to her lips and then set it back down without drinking any this time, she actually looked at her hand where he'd stroked it lightly. "But.. you're saying that you're not like normal men.. that when you find that one.. you know it like instinct? Deep enough to take a girl home to be your wife five minutes after you met?"

"Not 'not like normal men'. We're not normal men, simply put. It wasn't the first time he'd seen her... smelled her, actually, to be as crassly accurate as possible. Still, very soon after discovering her, he was positive it was her above all others that he wanted for his mate, so he made himself known. She came back with him willingly, mind you, not a scratch on her beautiful, blonde head. Imagine my own delight to hear she had a twin, hm? Cheers, luv. You're about to get the sales pitch of your life." He raised his glass to her and her own beauty, then took down the contents of the glass in a painfully large swallow.
"Hmm I'm not sure whether to be flattered or offended.." She took a drink from her glass and glanced back to him. "My sister and I might look the same but I'm not my sister.. if it's more than just looks you're after.. you might be less delighted." She reached for the bottle of rum and offered to fill his glass again. "Is it true.. that everyone has thier own distinct scent.. like say Lily and I look identical but our scent wouldn't be?"
He nodded, holding his glass out for another tip of the bottle, noting that it was nearly empty already. "You may be her twin, but you're very different in a lot of ways. Dress you the same, I'd still know the difference, and so would Tripp. You smell like fire, she smells like rain. That's flattery, since you're both incredibly beautiful and I'm going to need a lot more of this, if you please."
It was her turn to give him a bit of a shy smile as he told her she was incredibly beautiful and noted the way she was different from Lily. She poured more into his glass and topped off her own, noting the dent they'd made in the bottle already. "Do you drink vodka at all? I have a bottle stashed for special occasions."
"I do and will and will again. Vodka or anything, really. Thing is, I don't normally drink at all, but as you said - special occasions, right? Don't get up yet, though. I have to ask you... so I know just how drunk I might insist on getting, for good or bad... how much do you really like wolves?"
"I like them enough to have one on me for the rest of my life.." She chuckled at the question and took another sip, looking over at Taidgh with an arched brow. "How drunk does that mean you'll have to get?"
He chuckled a little. It was true, she did have the tattoo already, didn't she? But did she have to say it like that, not knowing... or could she possibly know? He gave her an odd glance, then reached out his hand. "Truth or dare, sounds like to me. Dare... you have to hold my hand while I show you something. You do it without flinching, screaming or shaming me into the sweet, dark night, looks like the bottle is mine and I falter to your tender mercy and whim as you please. Otherwise, looks like the bottle would be yours as you'd likely need it. Sound fair?"
Her eyebrow arched up again as she continued to gaze at him, her eyes danced with delight as she slowly nodded her head. "You're on.." She lifted her glass to seal the agreement, taking a longer sip before setting it aside and reaching to take his hand. She licked the liquor from her lips and gave him another unusually soft smile. "Show me."

"Alright. Wait, just a moment. This may seem... I dunno... showy? But it's an important part," he said, taking his hand back a moment. He set his glass down and pulled off the shirt he had on. He wasn't deeply tanned, but he was quite toned and seemed too thin to manage the alcohol he'd already sucked down. He set the shirt in his lap, cleared his throat and returned his hand to hers. "Nothing up my sleeve, as it were. Alright. No flinching," he reminded her, grasping her fingers. His gaze held hers a solidly as she would allow it. He focused on her eyes no matter where she chose to look as he began to alter in form before her.
She took another sip as he took off his shirt, letting herself admire his toned torso and not even trying to pretend she was doing anything else. Jaime licked her lips again, he had such an adorable face and now a nice hard body beneath his shirt.. her thoughts wandered for a few seconds. Her fingers clasped his lightly and she rubbed her thumb over his hand once he set it back in hers. She started out looking back into his eyes but as the changes began to show her eyes drifted to follow them. So far she didn't flinch or scream or try to run from what he was showing her. Her fingers clasped a little tighter to his hand but to reassure him, not out of fright, her thumb gentle stroked over his hand again.
The hair on his chest grew visibly thick, then began to deepen over his shoulders and neck. The short hair atop his head she had said wasn't so very dark deepened in color to a rich auburn as it, too, thickened and stretched out to the meet the rest of what was clearly a furry ruff and coat forming. His face contorted and reshaped, still recognizably Taidgh, but not at all a man beneath the thinly furred snout and blackened jowls. He gripped her fingers with his own that he changed last, bending and twisting where joints moved differently as the knuckles swelled and claws elongated from massive paws. His voice was strained as he reminded her, "Not normal."
She was silent for several moments as she studied him, she didn't let go of his hand though she held the paw that formed differently than she had his fingers. "Is it alright for me to touch you?" She asked with a curious and sweet smile as she slowly got up from her chair to come closer and learn more.
He nodded, opting not to speak much. She could understand yes and no and the sound of a growl if necessary. He wanted her to touch - god, he'd wanted to feel her fingers raking through all of his fur and return the favor since he'd watched her get out of the car.
She reached first with a single finger to stroke over his muzzle, her smile sweet but slightly more playful now that she'd been given permission to touch. "Mmm you're still cute.." She went slowly, gently adding more fingers to the stroking line she made over his face and back behind his ears until her fingers could sort of sink into the thicker fur of his neck. "Your fur is.. soft.. I like it." She told him, realizing that he might have trouble speaking like this and considering how his voice had sounded strained when he had. "Does it hurt when you change?"
He looked away for a moment, deciding on the best way to answer. For him, everything always hurt, but he understood not all his brothers were troubled by it. He'd grown used to it enough that it didn't truly hurt now, but his memory of the old times was still very sharp. A half shrug and a shake of his head 'no' as he glanced back was his answer. He was rather content to let her scratch his ears.
He seemed to like the way she 'pet' him so she continued to do so, an affectionate smile perched on her lips, she was strangely content feeling his fur against her fingers. "Being like this.. this is part of it.. what you said about instinct.. similar to animals in the wild finding the one creature above all others? How your brother smelled Lily and knew..? Does that mean.. you already know whether you feel that way about me.. or that you don't?" She felt sad at just the thought that he didn't feel such for her and it wasn't merely her ego like in the clubs wanting the boys to think she was pretty. She was really hoping he felt that way about her.
His paw rose to her hand, human fingers tangling into hers as he tried to tell her, but the words weren't coming fast enough as he reverted to the man sitting in her chair. As quickly as he could manage the change, he drew her closer. "Do..," he growled and graveled out, a strange sound that wasn't quite shaped correctly in his mouth that wasn't wholly human again yet. Drained from the morph of his form so much in such a short time, the reflection faded in his eyes and he looked quite like a happy, drunk boy as he darted to steal a kiss.
"Do.." She echoed in a soft breath, her eyes lighting up with the elation she felt, her heart leaping with joy as he pulled her closer. He didn't really have to steal the kiss since she gave it to him so freely, finding herself in his lap with her arms flung around his neck. She held him to more kisses that were spaced by her small delighted giggles, this was crazy! Stuff like this did not happen in real life to real people.. it was for books and movies, yet here she was in her kitchen making out with a cute wolf-man!
