August 25, 20092pm Aless had been on her way to help her... father, with a case of a missing person, the person happened to be her half sister whom she'd never met or heard of before this. That's how she found herself pulling off the road and into a little rest area to look at a map. Aless heard a sound that she was familiar with, it was a gun shot and a minute later car almost hit hers as it sped off, spewing gravel behind it. Torn between chasing after the car and investigating what they'd been shooting at, she slowed down and looked out the window. What she saw was not marked on the map and she froze for a second, then she hit the brakes and threw the car in park. There was a man on the ground, he had been what was shot if the blood was any indication, Aless was out of the car and running toward him, ducking down a little as she looked around. "Hey! Are you.. alright?" Dumb question but whether or not he answered would help to figure out if he was in shock or anything."Perfect," he seethed, his gritted teeth tugging at his sleeve, unsuccessfully trying to rend it into a bandage. He let go of the cloth and tried to catch another breath from the ball he'd become while holding his hand over the fresh wound on his leg. "Which way did she go? I have to get to her." It was clear he wasn't going anywhere, however. "I don't know about perfect, but you do have very nice hair." Aless teased as she pulled her belt off and knelt down next to him to wrap it around his leg above the wound. "I think you need to get some medical attention before chasing after the chick who shot you." She pulled the belt tight and reached to move his hands enough for her to see if the bullet was lodged in his leg or if it had gone through. If he wasn't in shock, he might be now as he glanced up at the lovely, doe-eyed brunette who first complimented his hair then took over as nursemaid without a second thought. "Excuse me? Are you trying to pick me up?" He chuckled, but even that hurt at the moment. Damnit, Bela! At least if he lost her trail, he had a new one to follow, it seemed, and a far more pleasant one. He moved his hand from where the bullet had made a clean path above his knee, through the side through nothing major beyond his pride. "You've done this before," he smiled. "Candy striper? Or do you just happen by crime scenes for dates?" "Nah. I just really like your hair. What kind of shampoo do you use?" Aless glanced up from where she was trying to examine his leg, her smile seemed amused and she shook her head a little. "Everyone needs a hobby, right?" She teased him with a wink and leaned back into a crouch, glancing around them for signs that the mystery 'her' was doubling back to finish the job. She pulled her t-shirt off over her head and the knife from her belt in a fluid motion, the blade cut into the fabric and she started to fashion a bandage from the strips of it, around his leg."Seriously? What shampoo...? Whatever the motel has on the shelf. I hadn't really noticed. Whatever, but... I'm sure I'm quite fine now, thank you," he said, feeling he was delirious and disbelieving the turn of the conversation. Maybe he was in shock. The tourniquet she'd fashioned was crude, but effective - almost too. His eyes clenched closed for the moment as the pressure seemed to make his face throb. He opened them in time to see the whip of cloth that was shredded and applied with a skill he'd seen in few others... very few. Despite the pleasant reveal of a strong and capable woman, the concern of awkward familiarity riddled his features and he wondered if he shouldn't just crawl away and make himself run any distance from her reach. Her knife skills made him reconsider moving anywhere suddenly, however, making him instead move for a few more answers as he began to wonder whose side she might be on. Starting with the basics, he hissed out, "Who are you?" "No.. not seriously. I don't care what shampoo you use. That was sarcasm and distraction.. though you do have nice hair. I meant that part." She explained as she finished bandaging his leg, it wasn't perfect but damn good and would hold awhile. She glanced up at his face again and then shifted more alongside him, reaching to pull his arm over her shoulders so she could help him up. "You could think of me as your guardian angel, minus the angel part.. or you could just call me Al." She answered his questions with her brand of honesty and teasing mixed together."Al, it is. I don't tend to associate with angels... or them with me," he cautioned, though he accepted the help to stand. He tested the leg, impressed with the bandaging. He was able to hobble somewhat and not lean completely on her, but now he could also see his car and the flat tires... all four of them. He sank a little more and growled, "Of course she did. Handy with a screwdriver as well as you are with taking off your clothes to help a stranger? Car's staying, plates are coming off - unless you're just leaving me here?" "Would you rather I left my shirt on and you bleeding?" She asked with a sweet smile, staying close to him though he seemed to be able to manage and hobble. Her sigh was soft but audible as she looked over his car with the flat tires and then to her own car, she never intended to leave him behind but it was getting more complicated and all she wanted was to look at the damn map and figure out where the hell she was. "What do you need out of the car besides the plates?" She asked, her mind already jumping ahead to stripping everything personal and identifiable out of it, like she would do if she had to leave her car somewhere."The body from the trunk and my change of clothes," he quipped back, thankful for the help, though there was no catching up to Bela today. That trail would be cold before they got onto the main road again. He hobbled another step and cringed, sure that his leg would shear off. "Alright. Bad idea that was," he rasped out, grabbing his leg and trying to grab his breath around the shot of pain. "Some things... rather personal things... in the trunk I need, but if you can help me get there and get the plates while I get those, we'll be on the way to... well, I suppose I should ask where you're taking me, shouldn't I? Not exactly the path most taken out here. Where were you headed?" "I'm not sure there will be enough room in my trunk next to the body I already have in there.. ahh well, I'll make it fit." Aless nodded to his request to help him to the trunk and let him gather his personal items. "Ah.. North.. to visit family.." She was pretty vague about where she was heading, not sure how honest she should be about that. She was more used to lying about everything including her name, but she'd told him that, partially. "Here we go.." She held him around the waist for another moment, trying to make sure he was steady or at least able to lean and catch himself. "I'll just grab a clean shirt and a screwdriver." She bit at her lip a moment and then gave him a faint smile. "You ready for me to let go?" He hadn't asked her to call the police or the paramedics, so she had to wonder what the shooting was about and what he might be hiding himself. His suspicions were nearly solidified into convincing him she was also a hunter or that he had become too paranoid to deal with flirtatious, attractive women without thinking they were hunters. "Define 'ready'," he said, curious about her willingness to continue helping him without asking why he needed the plates off the car. Amused by that aspect more than the rest, he nodded and leaned against the trunk waiting for her let go and leave him to gather the unusual items he was going to need if he was going to discover Bela's tracks again. The thought of her made his eyes flare like smoldering coals, a cool anger fanned by the fact she'd managed to escape him again. "I'm ready... and thank you. Good to know there are some kind and sane people left in the world," he said, though she would soon find he wasn't among them. "Mmm define sane?" She grinned at him in a playful way. "Kind maybe.." She gave into that one since she was helping him without asking questions and that probably did seem kind. Aless left him to his thoughts and the items in his trunk, glancing over her shoulder to ensure he wasn't pulling a weapon that he planned to use on her as she headed to her own car. She grabbed another shirt off the back seat as well as her gloves and a screw driver before jogging back over to get started on his plates."Never known either, so I really have no definition," he said cryptically, but honestly. He peeked around to see she wasn't watching that closely as he opened the trunk. She was curious but not in a way that made him uneasy - which in itself did make him uneasy. Since when did he start trusting people, especially women who didn't seem to fear guns? His head spun around that point as he went back to his task, peeling back the fabric lining from the panel behind the seats and pulling out a deep brief case. It rattled quietly and he set it down to open and inspect the contents quickly. He frowned at the half-empty vial he pulled out, then peeked around the car again to find her coming back with her tools. He sighed and shut the case containing the rest of his own tools, and spun the combination. From the same hidden pocket in the trunk he withdrew two small books with old, worn bindings. His eyes wandered over the covers and shimmered with a pale hint of relief. These were stuffed into the duffel containing his clothes that had been haphazardly shoved and wadded into place. He'd been in too much of a hurry, it seemed. He slung the duffel over his shoulder and gripped the case as he looked for anything else he could or would use, discretely shaking a few drops loose from the vial as he leaned in on his good leg and poked around the interior. He snapped the vial closed and tucked it with his hand into his pocket as he casually stood away from the car and waited for her and the plates. "Seems she got my phone, too. Mind if I borrow yours?" He asked, then squinted into the summer haze. "If there's any reception at all." Aless had left him to gather his things and went to work on getting the plates off, it was quick work and she came around for the one off the back, letting him finish up before coming too close. She understood the need for privacy and respected it but also watched him discreetly, trusting but at the same time not. So far she hadn't seen his eyes turn black and he seemed to be effected by the shot in the leg, signs that he was not a demon but they were clever and she had to be careful. "Sure.. once we get in the car and back to the main road the reception might be better." Al slipped the screw driver into her back pocket and looked at the case and duffel he was holding. "Do you want me to carry one of those?" She offered, thinking he'd struggle already with his wounded leg.************************************ A couple hours latera cheap motel room "How happy does it make you seeing me in excruciating pain, hm?" She checked the bandage. "Oh super super happy.. can I shoot your other leg? I'm sorry I forgot to tell you, I'm crazy. I like to pick up wounded guys on the side of the road, bring them back to my lair, fix them up.. and laugh at them." Aless tried to keep a straight face but ended up grinning a bit.He cringed. "Charming, absolutely pet. One leg is plenty though perhaps you're afraid I'll hobble off to the police? Doubtful. If anything I should shoot you to prevent the same, yeah? Don't think I haven't considered it. Where's my case?" "Why do I care if you hobble off to the police.. I'm not the one who shot you. You were like this when I found you.." She eyed him with a bit of suspicion, wondering if he'd try to set her up after she'd helped him. "The case is over there." She pointed across the room but didn't get it just yet.He eyed her carefully and laid back with a sigh. "Of course. Crazy people don't care, do they? Not to worry, not going to any police today, or ever. Not exactly in the best favor, if getting shot in daylight is any clue. They wouldn't know how to help with this... with her.. anyway." He shook his head. "My case? Please? I'd run and get it myself, but a little difficult at the moment, yeah?" "I think crazy people just care in a different way than sane people.. you know? At least some of them, there are degrees of crazy..." She eyed him another moment and went to fetch the case for him, bringing it back to set on the bed beside him. "Do you want something for the pain? Not like I have a pharmacy at my disposal but I do have a few things in my 'first aide' kit.""Have something. That's what the case is for, if it's not all shot to hell. I suppose I will need your help either way. Go ahead, look inside. Anything appear broken?" "Do you think she shot up your trunk? Didn't you get this out of there.." She started to sit on the bed but thought better of it, not wanting to bounce him around. "What did you say her name was again? Belle?" She asked as she stared at the case, in her line of work surprises and traps could be deadly. "Why don't you? I don't know the combination.""Shot to hell being figurative, love," he said, motioning for the case. "And you're close - good memory. It's Bela and she's quite a card. Got what she wanted for a day or so, I suppose, for me to back away. Wretched timing for me to be off my game." Opening the case, he inspected the contents slowly in her view. He pulled out a vial of pale purple liquid, handing it to her. "Could be explosive, careful," he grinned. "In my line of work, it's the details that usually lead you to the.. right conclusions." She smiled a little, eying the vile of purple liquid with a wary gaze and finding herself reluctant to reach for it without knowing what it was. "Mind telling me what it is and what you want me to do with it?" Her missing person had been found but there was something about this town that had her slightly on edge. It wasn't just this guy that she found, if he wasn't all injured he might even be a nice distraction."Pour it on my leg," he shrugged. "Either it will be torn clean off, or it might get me up and walking again. Either way is better than being at the mercy of a crazier person than myself." He encouraged her to take the vial. "Never mind the characteristically putrid odor of black market remedy. It's rather strong and I dare say extremely effective. Only a drop or so through the bandage should do." "It's not very nice to call a girl crazy, especially when she's done nothing but help you." She didn't sound mad in the least as she finally took the vial from him. Aless would feel better if he did this himself but.. she was just helpful like that. Leaning over his leg, she uncorked the concoction and let a few drops fall onto the bandage with his wound beneath. She'd thought she'd done a decent job of patching him up, almost as good as you could get without the fancy high tech of the ER. She quickly stuffed the cork back into the vial and handed it back to him. "I probably can't fix it if your leg explodes."He chuckled, then thought better of doing so with a slight groan. A pale smoke rose from the bandage and he seethed a little, trying not to grab hold of the wound. "Brilliant. You might want to stand back. The fume of the initial effect isn't pleasant. Nor, I'll say, is the fact that it is working. You see, first aid is fine and well, but true healing takes much greater power... and with it much greater pain. Under better circumstances I might enjoy it, but like this, not so much." Aless eyed him for only a second or two before backing away from him, she really hadn't signed on for this - she'd assumed the vial only held some kind of pain killer or antiseptic. Maybe something that might help him to heal a little more quickly, but this suddenly seemed like much more. "Right.. check mark in the I'm an idiot box." She muttered, moving to where she'd laid out some of her stuff to tend to him and started packing it into the bag on the table. She should have tested him more, she shouldn't have let her guard down by his 'handsome in distress' scenario. She glanced around for her jacket, ready to leave him to his cure."No, stay. I insist. You're no idiot, I see that. You're curious, after all, I can see that as well. No harm, no foul... well, not entirely foul at least. Go on. Remove the bandage." He propped himself up, breathing hard though seeming now to keep from laughing. "It's safe now the smoke has dissipated. What's not to trust, love?" She zipped up the bag and turned to look at him, giving a slight shake of her head. "I don't think so.." She glanced down to his leg and gave another shake of her head. "Everything not to trust. You just healed yourself with a magic purple potion.. which I administered.. like an idiot. It's not like I don't know bad ju-ju. I did it anyway, telling myself it wasn't really anything. Dumb.. Dumb.. dumb..""So you think with this case in my reach that walking out now isn't bad 'ju-ju'? Sincerely, I think you should put your case down... now... and sit. I really do insist," he said suggestively of things other than idle threats. "You see, being healed, what's to keep me running after you now?" He pulled the bandage free of the wound that still held the stitches around a now pink and healthy new scar. "That's dirty!" She snapped and somewhat slammed her bag down on the table to make her point but not hard enough to damage her supplies. Aless folded her arms but did not sit down, she gave him a look like she dared him to get up and do something about it. Of course a glance at his almost like new leg told her that there was a good chance he could get up. "So I help you not bleed to death at some out of the way rest stop, get you someplace relatively safe, patch you up, pour on your probably soul-stealing-healing ju-ju, and you repay me by holding me hostage?" Her eyebrow arched up slightly. Damn him for being so distractingly handsome, of course she still had her weapons close by, including the knife that was strapped to her thigh. He frowned at the bandage as he balled it up to put in the trash, then decided better of it, putting the wad in a corner of the case instead. "It's not a soul-steal spell, but it is a spell. You see why I was concerned about the case's contents now, yeah? Mixing them is not wise. True bad ju-ju." He closed the case and slid it aside to stand slowly. "All back in the case, now, pet. I'm unarmed as I was before. Hardly call that holding you hostage since you're the one with the knife, hm? I just think you and I should discuss a few things now that you have names. Especially in light of you seeming to enjoy helping the helpless, perhaps valiantly destroying a villain in the process, yeah? That villain is not me." Was he doing that on purpose? It was like he was poking her a little, not too badly but just enough to get a bit of a rise from her. She frowned a little at that thought, it might not be on purpose but he had made certain remarks. She stepped toward him and lightly poked back, literally tapping his shoulder with her finger lightly. "You all but threatened me a moment ago with your ju-ju case and chasing me if I left. That's not exactly how non-villains do things." He had a valid point about her helping, she had whipped of her shirt about a minute after finding him to make a bandage for his leg. "Helping people is just what I do.. it's my job to.. do that stuff." It had also mostly been her pleasure to do it for him.

April 29, 2009 evening
Aless had spent her day happily making her home comfortable and clean, she cooked a delicious dinner for her darling and was smiling as she tidied up and he took a phone call. She wondered why they hadn't moved in together before, everything was just.. perfect, she adored him and was eager to dote on him. She didn't recall her life from a few days before and that didn't bother her, all that mattered was that she was here with him, now. She bit her lower lip and glanced over her shoulder at him as she bent over the coffee table to straighten out some magazines. She didn't want to disturb his phone call but felt much too far away from him and needed to touch him.
He had nearly everything he could possibly want, but it hadn't been real. The rest of the charade was about to fade into mist one way or another. The call had him moving away from the darlingly doting brunette where she wouldn't overhear the conversation too much. It would only confuse the lamb, but she hovered near regardless, offering a pleasing view of her delicate derrier as he tried to concentrate on his call. He smiled and watched more than he listened. The voice on the other end rose a little. "Yes, of course I'm listening. You're talking, I'm listening, go on," he said, broken from his brief reverie. "How long, do you think?" He asked and the answer made the grin fade as he sat up. "Or else what?" He didn't get an answer immediately. Clearly the words "I'm sorry" were uttered by the caller though they sounded less than sincere before the silence took over the line. He stared at the phone and the time that took the place of caller's ID that simply stated it had been an unregistered number. The phone was tossed past a scrumptious length of leg as she straightened and spruced beside him. "Stop doing that and come over here," he suggested, brushing her thigh gently.
She felt silly for how she reacted to the slightest touch from him but couldn't help it, her eyes closing for a moment and her breath catching as the shiver ran through her from his brush against her thigh. He didn't have to tell her twice, her hands let go of the magazines and she turned, her tongue gently passing over her lips, she grasped at his shoulders and slid herself onto his lap. "I like here much better.." She purred and leaned to kiss him, she swore she'd become addicted to the taste of his mouth.
"Much better, thank you," he said, not sure if he'd have to insist that she stop kissing him, though he didn't really want her to stop. "I need you to listen to me for a moment and understand. Are you listening?"
Yes, it was so much better when she could kiss him, she completely agreed but then he was making her stop and asking her to listen. The soft sweet pout was genuine and her eyes filled with concern - had she done something wrong? Aless nodded, bringing her hand up to his cheek and her gaze to his smokey eyes. "I'm listening."
"That was a very important call. There are some men who might be coming very soon. They're not friends of mine and I don't want you to be nice to them," he suggested. Bela had warned him of the Winchesters, but he also wondered why she would. He looked at the amulet that served as her leash and put his hand over hers on his cheek.
Her head tilted to the side a bit and she seemed to struggle with her own thoughts, trying to smile but it faltered and for a few seconds she was so very confused. "But.. aren't I always.. nice?" She asked, she only recalled being with him and wanting to do everything to please him.. if not being nice to these men would do that, then she wouldn't be nice. "I won't.. be nice to them.." She promised and started to lean closer to him, seeking another kiss and reassurance from him. "If you know they're coming.. and they aren't friends... why don't we just leave? We could go away for a few days.. a vacation or something.. if you wanted to?" She suggested, almost timid about it, not wanting to displease him by being too uppity, that wasn't proper at all.
He smiled. "Oh, I want them to come. I'll be waiting for them and so will you. But see, they want something of mine and something of yours. We need to stay here to make sure they don't get it. Do you understand?"
She started to nod but then shook her head, the smile shone out a little more and she almost chuckled. "I'm not sure I do.. What do they want from us? What will we do? You said we'd be waiting for them, that sounds almost like we're supposed to be.. ready for them.. I don't know." She shook her head slightly, it was like trying to look through a thick fog for something just beyond it that she couldn't make out clearly. "What is it you want me to do?"
"They'll want to take you away from me, but you're going to tell them you don't want to go. Then... we'll show them just how much you want to stay and how happy you truly are. You are happy here, aren't you?" He wanted to hear the answer but more than anything he wanted to know the answer was real, not simply the spell he'd purchased at steep cost in order to keep her here.
Her eyes went wide, a look of horror and fear twisting her features as her breath caught and her head shook. "No!" She snapped out the word and then wrapped her arms tightly around his shoulders. "Don't let them take me away.. I don't want to go." She pleaded though he'd already told her he planned to show these men how happy she was here. "Why are they coming? Why do they want to take me away?" Her fingers dug into his shirt a little, likely snagging the skin beneath as well. "I am happy here.. I'm happy with you. I adore you.. you know that don't you?" The panic made her voice tremble as it rose slightly. "I would do anything for you."
"Of course you would and that's what they'll need to know for certain. They don't like me or my family, that's why. They'll think you don't belong here and that I .. am a terrible person," he said, biting his lip a little. "Now, be ready. It won't be long until they arrive."
He eyes were drawn to the way he bit at his lip, she wanted to kiss him again, to forget about these men who were coming and just tumble with him. "I do belong here." She whispered, half smiling and half pouting, as her gaze drifted to his and she was mesmerised. She adored him and wanted to please him with every fiber of her being. "Be ready how? Will they leave us be if we convince them we're happy together? Not that we should have to convince anyone of that." Her fingers brushed up his neck and gently fanned over his jaw, framing his face.
"Should never have to convince a soul whom it cares for," he said softly, his eyes alight with some inner fire. "You do belong here. Now, I need to show you something. This is very important. Whatever you do, don't let anyone get behind you or come near your neck. They will hurt you if they do and it will upset me horribly. I don't want you to get hurt, do I? No, of course not. Now, this is a special knife," he said, reaching beside the couch to a drawer to pull out something she'd never had cause to see before. The blade was slender and looked like a ripple of water from its carved handle. "You remember how to fillet a fish, don't you? I showed you, remember? Just like that, anyone who tries, you use this."
She nodded to his warning, let no one get behind her or near her neck. "I'm scared." She whispered, her eyes searching his for some sort of answer to what made her tremble as she brought her hand to take the knife from him. "It's a good knife.. I like it." She shook her head then, curling her fingers more tightly around the handle. "I don't know where that came from.."
He smiled. "Don't be scared. Once we're done with them, we'll have dinner... with wine to celebrate," he said, watching her carefully now, wondering himself where the comment had emerged through the spell. He looked at knife in her hand and how naturally she held it and his smile thinned a little. "I expect they'll make a showy entrance, so don't sit beside the door. Stay in the kitchen and keep the knife with you. If the bell rings, it's alright not to answer it. I will. Perhaps this will end simply and no one's hands need to get dirty, yeah?"
"What would you like for dinner.. to celebrate? I should make something special." She suggested with a soft smile, curling her hand up, her eyes following the movement of the knife before turning her gaze back to him. One hand still touched his jaw lightly and she smiled softly, then leaned to kiss him. "I'll stay away from the doors, I promise."
"I might just want you for dinner," he grinned, watching her with the knife and adoring the kiss. Damn the Winchesters for stumbling upon the spell. Now they were heading straight to his door. Something he found strange in that thought now and he stared at the phone he'd tossed aside. Bela had warned him specifically, but where was she? "She never says she's sorry," he muttered, lost in his thoughts for the moment. It was true the woman held no pity or remorse, so why should she bother to utter a hollow regret with her warning.. unless she was giving them the breadcrumbs to lead to him on purpose. She'd set him up! "Slight change of plans, darling. Don't fillet them. I think we can use them instead."
She giggled softly and draped her free arm around him. "I love you." Her nose brushed his and she tried to kiss him again. "How soon will they be here.. perhaps you could have a taste test now?" She hinted and teased, her eyes lighting up with desire for him and for the slowly building excitement for the games he wanted to play with the others.
How he hoped that was really true, that she did love him and the spell was only a soft pillow added for comfort and reassurances. He couldn't bring himself to test that theory yet. "Not yet, darling. You'll distract me from them and there's much to be done," he said, allowing only a small kiss. "Go to the kitchen and wait until I call for you, alright?"

The homes on this street were just like the others. Dean sighed, his head shaking a little as they pulled up a few houses down and turned out the headlights. "I don't like it," he said, looking up ahead to the home that was just like Carl's. "What is it with these guys? Can't they just get themselves piss drunk at the bar like normal people? Why mess with the mumbojumbo? Only leads to trouble," he said, digging for the binoculars and the items they'd need.
Sam's head shook as well. "Fear of rejection," he shrugged, summing it up simply enough. "Fear of being alone, fear of going to those place you seem to hang out," he teased, looking over at his brother. "It makes sense, but it's not a good answer. It's just an easy answer and if it were meant to be easy... we'd all be you."
Savy was in the back seat, feeling like this had been some weird family road trip and trying not to prop her feet up on the back of their seat. She gave a slight snort as the guys spoke of why the other men had resorted to spells. "Well considering the two dweeboids that put the mojo on me and Tess, I'd say it was the fear of most certain rejection.. You and Sam obviously don't have to worry about that, so you wouldn't understand the desperation most men feel."
Tess laughed and shook her head a little. "Well she has a point on the desperation part. I'd already rejected Carl. I'd broken up with him for another guy.." She cleared her throat softly and didn't mention any names, though at least two other people in the car knew who she was talking about. "The problem really isn't the guys, desperate guys are easy to find.. it's the person who sold them the spell."
Aless pouted as she was denied the treats she wanted and she gave Tripp's hair a light tug at the back as she slowly eased herself out of his lap. "Meanie." She teased him quietly and turned away to go into the kitchen, she'd have to keep herself busy to keep from fretting.
Dean was about to say something smart back to Sam when Tess commented on Carl and his thoughts ran dry. "Right, okay, enough of that. Believe me, rejection happens to everybody. Try telling someone you're a hunter on your first date and see how that flies. C'mon," he said, getting out of the car. He hadn't seen anything with the binoculars other than a little movement past the windows to ensure someone was home.
Sam chuckled to himself at Dean's speechless moment and got out as well, taking the journal with him and meeting Dean at the trunk. "Do you think one of us should stay with the car while Bela's on the loose?" His concern was only minor as he turned his attention to the house ahead. "You don't suppose she'll be there anyway, do you?"
Dean pulled guns and rocksalt into the satchel and pushed the mess of it at Sam. "Nope, and nope. But we'll be ready if she does show up and ready if she's already been here and set up a nice trap. You and Savy go around back, we'll try the straight forward approach. Either way, there's a girl in there playing Mrs Cleaver for some sicko and we help her."
He chuckled at the tug on his hair, seeming to almost enjoy how the curl twirled into her grasp. "You haven't seen me be mean... yet," he said, teasing and promising as he got up and followed her to stop at the window a moment. He wasn't hiding and had no reason to in his own home. Confident they wouldn't shoot him from the yard, he leaned there a moment, looking out to see the car as promised.

"It's terribly mean of you to withold your affection from me.. I might wither without it." She teased him as she headed into the kitchen, stopping in the doorway to watch him as he looked out the window. Aless stayed there a moment, she wanted to say something, do something, but she didn't know what would help. She had to stay out of the way and let him handle it, he was the man after all and she was just a girl.
Savy looked to Tess and rolled her eyes at how Dean reacted to their comments, he was an odd one in her opinion and she slipped out of the car to head around the back. She got there just in time to hear the basic plan, she and Sam were going around back. "Speaking as someone who has been under that spell, the sooner we get in there the better."
Tess had followed Savy and she chimed in with her agreement. "Yeah, before she does something she'll have to live with later.. At least I knew Carl.. but the spell makes you want to be extra pleasing.. who knows whether this sicko has any restraint."
"Maybe we can put it on Sammie when we get her loose of it, then, huh?" Dean was mostly joking, but considering what it would be like not to fight with Sam half the day. He closed the trunk after getting a few items of his own, making sure the girls each had something as well. "Okay, Savy, you and scooby-doo work on getting her out while we work over Charles-in-charge in there."
"Nice. I think we got the idea already. Anyone else not like the idea that he's watching out the window right now while we're planning on just walking in and breaking his little spell?" Sam scratched at the back of his neck as he looked back toward the house, pointing out the figure in the window.
"They're coming to take us away, ha ha," he muttered, grinning a little at the man who'd turned to see him framed in the open window he now closed and pulled the curtains over.
"Are they...?" Aless started and stopped, she felt the fear rising up in her, she took a step back into the kitchen but still watched Tripp. "They're here.." She took a deep breath and reached to fuss with her skirt out of nervousness but realized she had the knife in her hand still.
"If he's scooby, that makes you shaggy." Savy chuckled and glanced up to the house as Sam pointed out they were being watched.
"So much for the element of surprise." Tessa sighed and stood next to Dean. "I'm Daphne though, right?"
"Long as I'm Fred," he sighed, glancing up at the now-closed window. "Well, since we're expected, let's move before he does," he said watching the front door and heading off toward the house. Something didn't seem right at all with this plan.
Sam tapped Savy to follow him as he broke into a jog and started toward the back, listening for anyone that might be running. There was enough light from the street not to need the flashlight yet, but they would soon.
"No one's taking us anywhere, Alessandra. Yes, they are here, but remember, I want them to come in. I don't want to kill them, just make them think twice."

"You can be my Fred anytime." Tess smiled but was quickly shifting from playful to serious as they headed toward the front of the house. "So.. what exactly do you intend to do? Are we going to knock and see if he opens the door or just charge right in?"
Savy was off after Sam, the joking dropped as they headed behind the house, with the guy seeming to expect them she felt a little apprehensive about they might encounter going in. "So.. I don't think I really need to say that something is different about this one.. but do you think this guy is more involved.. like with that Bela chick?"
"Right.. you want them to come in.. I'm not sure I do. Can't we just call the police?" She seemed to know the answer to that already and her sigh was soft. "Do you still want me to just.. stay in here?" Aless watched him but her gaze shifted to the front door and what windows she could see from where she stood in the kitchen. Her free hand came up to fiddle with the charm on the necklace he'd given her, she loved it but not near as much as she loved him.
"Noooo, no no, we don't want to waste the policeman's time, Aless," Tripp said casually, calmly denying the interference as he came away from the window and reached for her hands to keep her from meddling with the necklace. "I've changed my mind again. Go upstairs and put my books away where they won't be easily spotted. I'll want them soon, but I want to talk to these people alone."
"It may be just a coincidence he was looking out of his window, but in case it's not, he knows we're here and probably knows why," Dean said, debating kicking or ringing as the came up to the front walkway. "We ring and maybe it will throw him off. He won't hurt her, right? I mean why go through the trouble to shell out for the spell and do something stupid? Not that playing with the hoodoo isn't already," he added, putting his gun in reach in the back of his belt.
Sam agreed completely. "Yeah, it's different and I don't like it, or anything with Bela's name anywhere on it. This guy could turn out to be Mister Rodgers - she's got a knack for that sort of thing. It's too easy," he muttered, shaking his head and testing the back gate that swung open easily, proving his point.
"Of course.. you know best." Aless agreed easily, coming closer as he held her hand for that moment, she just wanted to bury herself in his arms and be safe until this was all over. "Alright." She didn't want to be apart from him but if he thought it best for her to go upstairs then she would. Aless thought his request about the books was just to keep her busy and out of harm's way, he was so strong and smart. She reluctantly let go of his hand and offered him the pretty knife with her other. "Do you need this?" She started to step back, ready to turn and head upstairs.
"Coincidence.. yeah, that happens alot in my line of work." She half teased but let Dean know she didn't believe it was just chance that this guy happened to be looking out his window as they arrived. "I'll ring." Tessa ran her eyes over the door and lifted her hand to press the button, her other hand reaching beneath her jacket in a quick reflexive move to make sure her weapon was close at the ready.
"I was never one to like too easy myself.." Savy looked at the gate and around the nieghborhood from the backyard vantage. "Man I hate suburbia.. should we split up?" She gestured toward the back door and then up the side of the house where a trellis was, she was light enough that she could easily climb up and in.

Did he know best? Right now he wasn't sure of that at all, but was sure that Bela had done her level best to twist things just the right way. She would get several miles of distance away from wherever this lot was last looking for her and left him to sweep up the tracks... again. "No, you need that. Remember what I said. Best you don't turn your back to the door. No one behind you," Tripp reminded her. "I'll be fine," he said, grinning for her, though there was something behind the grin that said he was disturbed and a little saddened. Short of killing them, how could he stop them from removing the spell?
Sam looked where Savy was looking and back at the door. "Normally, no, but I don't think he expected that. Actually I don't know what he expects, or what we should expect from him. Go on up. I've got the door," he said, letting her climb.
Dean paused and moved his hand back to the gun at his back, his other hand up to wait a moment as he leaned to try to peek in the windows. The curtains were drawn both sides and the light inside was too dim to note any shadows now. "Alright," he said, nodding toward the door bell.
Aless nodded, she would do as he'd told her though with her going upstairs she didn't know how much good the knife would do her. If they got through Tripp to get up to her, how would she be able to fend them off. His expression worried her, there was something in his smile that seemed saddened. What would cause that? Did he think the men would succeed in taking her away? "I'll wait for you to call for me." She whispered and darted to press her mouth against his, it was such a brief kiss but it was all she could risk at the moment to reassure him. She spun and ran up the stairs, feeling the tears sting at her eyes, why was this happening to them?
Savy nodded to Sam and swatted him on the ass lightly. "If you need me.. just.. scream like a girl." She teased in a whisper, then she was hooking into the trellis and quickly accending toward the second story windows.
Tessa paused at ringing the bell until Dean gave her the ok after trying to peek in through the windows. "Here goes nothing." She whispered and let her finger press against the button, hearing the chime sound within the house. It felt a bit srange to be following Dean's lead when normally she was the one calling the shots and adapting the plan as she went, that's what happened when you mostly worked alone.
