March 26, 2009 11pm The Palace
Gabe just smiled and ushered him into the club - waves at the girls who are around "Pick a girl any girl... got a booth for a private dance.. any one you want, she's yours.." Gabe was definitely not the nice guy Carl was.
"Just one?" He frowned. "How many guys do I have to 'arrange' to get a full house? One... Okay... that one. She's..." He looks her over at all angles. "... got enough to hold onto."
"Well up to you if you want more.. you have to get them yourself.. think of this one as complimentary.. It's one of the perks. You like the girl, we give you the girl.. sort of like a company car.. only a nicer ride if you ask me.. that one.. Ooo good choice, she's new.. you'd be the first owner.. Have a seat.. I'll go get the keys.." Gabe chuckles as he points out the private booth and walks off to fetch the girl in question.
Nicky comes over to take his drink order while he waits. "Gabe says you drink for free so what can I get you?"
He smiled up at the girl as he folded himself down into the booth, turning to lean an arm over the booth bench and watch the crowd. "A double Crown Royal in a cool glass and an hour of your time," he winked. "I'll be right back with your drink. I'll have to pass on the other request." A sweet smile graced her face and she leaned in a little to speak quietly. "You're very much, not my type... my type wears a skirt and lip stick." Winks back at him and turns to head toward the bar, letting him think whatever he wanted. Oooo she was sassy and he was impressed already. He chuckled a little and leaned back, drumming his fingers on the bench to the music the girl on stage had chosen. He watched her a little, but turned his attention to the one he'd picked out from the crowd, a far more mysterious show. Gabe had Delaney in a firm grasp, his hand wound around her upper arm as he spoke in her ear, she glanced toward the booth and her head shook in a distinct 'no' to whatever Gabe had suggested. Of course that didn't go over well and Gabe shoved her through the side door to the back area to have a little 'talk' with her.
Meanwhile Nicky returned with the drink and a second for the lady who would be joining him shortly. She set the glasses down on the table with a warm smile, placing the napkins down under them, just so. "Anything else I can get you?" "How about two hours with both you and your lipstick friend?" He chuckled, knowing the answer was still 'no'. He reached for the drink and tried a sip, nodding that it was fine. The bartender understood a cool glass and had it perfect. He set it down to let it stay cool. "How about you rescue the fine lady in the back with your boss, hm?"
"You're not my friend's type either." She gave him an appropriate pout for the rejection and then laughed softly, nodding to the fact that he approved of his drink. "Delaney? Ahh.. umm.. you want her to join you? I.. ah.. I'll go see what I can do.. maybe I'll have some luck sweet talking her. I'm Nicky, by the way, if you need anything, just ask for me I'll be sure you're taken care of." With a smile she turned and headed toward the side door where Gabe and Delaney had disappeared.
Gabe came back out into the club, smoothing his jacket a bit and gesturing to the bar for a drink for himself. He looked to the booth and gave a nod of his head, as if to say everything was taken care of, even though Nicky and Delaney were both out back now.
With a turn of his wrist it was clear he was counting down to a point he wouldn't wait for the girl to come to him and he'd go in back himself if only to be sure she hadn't left out another door. No smart woman would ditch him knowing who he worked for. He drank down more of his own drink then poured the other glass into his own, glancing to the bar and the absence of his waitress and his guest.
As if on cue Nicky came back out, she passed his table with a smile and a wink, dropping a pink napkin on the table. A lipstick kiss was pressed into the napkin, matching the shade his chosen girl had been wearing - it appeared Nicky had, had better luck with Delaney. She went up to the bar, fetching a replacement for the empty glass she snagged on the way by after dropping the napkin.

Delaney came out only a couple of minutes after Nicky, she was shifting a few strands of hair out of her face as approached the booth with a small smile. She didn't know the man, but knew who he worked for and was trying not to form an opinion of him before knowing anything about him personally. "Hello." Her voice was warm, feminine but not high pitched or bubbly sounding, as she stopped about a foot in front of the man and his private booth.
He frowned a little and motioned to the empty spot across from him and the one beside him where he moved his knee away. "I suppose that's as good a start as any. Have a seat... uuuhh well, I'm at a loss. I wasn't given your name."
She slipped in next to him, where he moved his knee, wouldn't want him to think it was him she didn't care for. Upon closer inspection he was.. a muscular looking guy and Delaney had a preference for men with muscles. "Delaney, and I wasn't given your name either. You look a little disappointed?" She'd noticed the slight frown and wondered if somehow she'd screwed it up before she'd even started.
"No, not at all. If you'd walked away - then, I'd be disappointed," he grinned now as she settled in beside him and his arm naturally curled behind her. "It's John, but I wouldn't want you to get the wrong idea about me, calling me that... you sitting here... looking like a million. Call me Jack."
"Thank you." Her smile twitched, tugging up one side of her mouth a little more than the other as she let her eyes wander over him a bit, taking a longer and closer look at him now that they were all cozy in the booth together. "What ideas would you like me to get about you, Jack?" She asked the question as her gaze rose up to his face and then his eyes, her eyebrow arched slightly.
"Anything you like that means breakfast in the morning. I'm a simple guy, really," he said, the faint hint of an accent hitting his words now and then. "Are you a bacon or sausage kind of girl?"
Breakfast in the morning was sort of an indication that they'd be spending the night together, of course that went along with what Gabe had 'suggested' concerning the request for her company. There were girls that had regularly entertained Resher's men and those who were dating or claimed by Resher men - they all made it look so easy. Delaney wasn't one of those seasoned vets or one of the ones deeply entangled in that world, Gabe was being honest in saying Jack would be the first. Jack's reply wasn't completely unexpected but it still threw her for a moment, she covered with a small chuckle and tried to smile as she reached for one of the two glasses on the table to take a sip. "Sausage.. usually, I guess it depends on my mood, sometimes it's neither."
"What kind of mood are you in now? Do you like your drink? Not too strong, I hope," he threw the questions out, still impatient, but calming down a little as his own drink soothed him. "You're a good girl, I hear."
She glanced at him as he fired out his questions, trying to read him, hoping she would be able to - at least a little. Delaney figured he probably wasn't an open book but she'd learned to pick up on subtle things to find out how people reacted even when they were trying not to show it. Was he still talking about food or just a general inquiry about her mood? Her legs shifted, one crossing over the other and brushing along his as she moved. "The drink is good, I don't believe I've ever had this before." She took another sip, her eyes gently watching his, she leaned back, relaxing a little into the arm that was curled there. "You heard that, huh? I guess I am, depending on what you consider good."
"Heh, I'll let y'know that... when you're in the mood for sausage," he winked, settling his hand down on her shoulder, anchoring her in his attention. He reached a sip from his glass and set it aside again, dropping his hand casually between them and drawing lightly on her thigh. "You know, I think you have something here the rest of the girls just don't quite get."
"I'm starting to think you're not talking about breakfast choices." She laughed softly and bit her tongue lightly, she felt his hand shift and the warmth of it clasping her slender shoulder. There was a difference here compared to being on stage, it was more intimate and she wasn't in control - commanding her audience. A man slipping a bill into her strap was a different feeling from the fingers drawing lightly on her thigh. Maybe it was the guy and not merely the situation that had her feeling slightly off kilter. She took another sip of her drink and tried not to think of how short her skirt was or how little was beneath it as his fingers played over smooth bare skin. It felt odd to have both her hands on the table while he curled around her, she moved so that her hand gently rested on his thigh, the other still above the table tracing over the side of her glass. "..and what would that be?" She asked to his last comment about her having something the other girls just didn't get.
"Me... for a start. I'd think you're pretty lucky there, hard working man taking his free time up with a pretty thing like you. Could have been any pretty thing in this place, but I like you. The others.. well, maybe that bartender girl with our drinks, but that's only because she said no. I don't like girls saying no to me, know what I mean?" His finger traced upward a little more as if searching for the lacey edge on her hip.
"You." She licked at her lips, keeping her thoughts to herself though if he was paying attention to her eyes he would see there was alot going on behind the gentle smile. She nodded a little and looked him in the eye as he searched for lace he wouldn't find. "Well when you put it like that, I guess I am lucky.." She lifted her glass a little and then took a drink as if toasting to that luck. "You don't like girls saying no to you, but you like the bartender girl who did?"
"It was how she said it, actually, and I respect a girl who's honest enough," he said, smirking a little at his realization that her hip was bare completely beneath her skirt. His hand flattened out and ran across the bare skin to the other hip to find just how bare she was. He curled around her more to reach. "I'm thinking you're a very, very good girl. You're very good to me so far."

Her eyebrow arched up, all of his comments surprising her a little, as well as the way he was acting toward her. It was fairly obvious what he wanted and that he wanted it sooner rather than later, but he wasn't being crude or rude about it. She kept her gaze on him and herself still as his hand ran beneath the skirt from one hip to the other, there was nothing but her manicured lawn to be found. "Are you looking for a very very good girl who would rather be honest.. and is when she's allowed to be?"
"You're always allowed to be honest," he murmured, finding the whiskey on her breath sweetly mixed with the light perfume she wore. His hand grasped gently around her hip. "I've always wanted a good girl."
"Then I'd think you're pretty lucky to have found one.. if you'd like to keep her?" She shifted a bit, lifting up off the bench so his hand slid around her hip more fully as she carefully turned to face him and slip onto his lap if he'd let her.
"Awww, did Gabe tell you I play for keeps? Well I do, but usually it's a little messy," he said, drawing her into his lap, his thumb straying purposely down. "Ooo... that's not all I've found, either, is it?"
"I actually told him no when he first approached me, even though I found you attractive.. I didn't want to be one of the girls that gets passed around." Her voice wavered a little as his thumb strayed and teased, she caught her lower lip in her teeth for a moment. Her hands rested on his shoulders as she shifted more comfortably over his legs. "But playing for keeps is another story entirely.. makes me the luckiest girl in this club." Her fingers played with his buttons and slipped between the gaps to feel the tickle of his fur, her smile shone out her appreciation of his manly form. "You found your surprise..." She tipped to find his mouth and begin the first lingering kiss she had for him.
Jack chuckled, rolling his shoulders a little and tipping his head til his neck popped just a little. "Lucky is as lucky... hmm... does me just right, I'd say. Looks like a nice fit if you ask me," he said, rubbing her hips and bared cheeks above his knees.
"You can't tell if something will fit for sure just by looking.. you have to try it." Her giggle was a soft sound near his ear as she started to loosen his collar and a few of his buttons, she had a thing for guys with hair and scruff. Her last boyfriend had a smooth chest but Jack had muscles, scruff, fur... her fingers brushed over his chest where the shirt gapped. "I never really appreciated these private booths before... mmm I think I've discovered something appealing in them." Her hands wandered a little, massaging his shoulders and trying to make sure he was relaxed, though she'd allow him to get alot more comfortable with her if he wanted.
"Cuz I haven't been here before - nothing as appealing as me until now," he winked, taking a deep breath beneath the massage of her fingertips. The booth had a view looking out between the partition and the bench and around the end of the bench, but unless standing there, such as Nikki had to take their order, they wouldn't be bothered and in this place no one was watching the crowd as much as the stage anyway. He considered laying her out on the bench to test that theory, but the subtlety and intimacy were just as nice - moreso as she acquainted herself with him like she wanted to.
She had his buttons about halfway undone, alternating between a soothing and exploring massage and slowly revealing more of him to be tempted by. It was a strip club but she didn't want to undress him completely, this closeness and teasing discovery was more fun for her. Her gaze drifted down at his comments and her smile widened, her head tipping slightly and giving a small shake. "Mmmhmmm I won't even pretend I don't agree with that. Damn. You are everything this good girl has always wanted." She didn't know his personality all that well but so far she liked it and on the physical side he was really everything she'd ever wanted.
"Would this good girl want someone to take her home early tonight, get her home safe... tuck her in gently? You're off the clock, why stay here?" The music they were surrounded by was nothing like the melody in his thoughts right now.
He asked, he didn't demand or act like she had to or that she was 'bought and paid for' like she'd seen some others do to the girls who said yes to the offers. That was part of why she'd always said no, not every guy was a dirt bag but she'd seen enough in the ranks to sour her on the whole idea. Some of the girls put themselves out there, trying to get picked, hoping to be pulled into the Resher web - even if it meant they were a meal. Del wasn't like that, she'd taken a leap, a risk, a chance at saying yes to Jack's request for her company. Her expression might have given away her pleasant surprise and how much the way he was treating her meant in her book. She smiled softly and brushed a kiss over his mouth. "Only if that someone is you. I'd stay to spend more time with you.. but I'd rather get out of here with you." She admitted that she was interested in being more than just a lap decoration for his visit to the club or a quickie in the booth. The conversation with Gabe had been brief and she knew there was more to it, she knew the basics but had wanted to give Jack the chance to show her himself what he wanted. He was doing just that and she found that she was comfortable agreeing with him. "You'll have to let go for a couple of minutes or come with me to grab my stuff." She didn't try to pull away or move his hands off her, letting him be in control and decide whether to let her up or keep her there.
"I trust you to come back," he said, stealing a kiss to keep her intrigued enough to return.

None of the men who worked for Resher were what you'd call squeaky clean, most were varying degrees of 'bad', Del wondered what Jack did exactly. He had to do something very very bad to be this good, otherwise he would be too good to be true. She wasn't going to ask him that kind of question, when he felt like telling her he would, if he ever trusted her that much. She stole a kiss right back, nibbling at his lip as she slipped almost reluctantly off of his lap and then out of the booth. With a little tug on her skirt to pull it into place, she scampered out back to get her coat and her bag, she didn't bother to change but kept her clothes in the bag to bring with her. She came back out a couple minutes later, a little nervous but ready to leave with Jack, the few moments alone gave her mind time to whirl a little, though it wasn't stopping her.
Gabe had spotted Delaney heading out back, he noted that she didn't seem upset and if he wasn't mistaken she looked a little 'giddy'. He chuckled and also noted that Jack wasn't storming out or chasing after her or anything to indicate they hadn't hit it off. He was smiling in his particular way as he strolled over to the booth to check in on his guest. "Enjoying your drink?"
Jack grinned and nodded toward the door Delaney had vanished through. "Haven't had a sip... yet. Your bartender's first-rate, though," he said, toasting the man and finishing the rest of the cool amber in it.
Gabe glanced toward the door and was about to get riled and give the girl a talking to, but then he looked back to Jack, seeing he wasn't disturbed by that and was grinning. "Well as long as your satisfied with what you're getting, that's what matters. I'm glad we could find one that was to your liking.. should I get someone to cover her shift for tomorrow?" He asked as if they were discussing the weather rather than if Jack planned to keep the girl busy or detained. Gabe smiled as he saw Delaney come back out into the club and head toward the booth.
She saw Gabe standing next to the table, leaning along the side of the booth, casually talking to Jack, she also saw him looking at her and she wondered what was being said. If she was meant to know they would fill her in, if not she'd be left wondering, the music and noises of the club covered the sound of her heels against the floor but Gabe knew she was coming since he was looking right at her.
"Satisfied? Haven't started yet, but I'm sure I will be." He smiled and set the glass down, leaning closer to be sure the other man heard him when his attention turned toward the girl as she returned. "She's a nice girl, Gabe. What's she doing in your club, hah? Secrets? Dead lovers?"
"Maybe she was just waiting for you." He chuckled, keeping his eyes on the girl as she came toward them. "You're right though, she is a good girl.. " He paused and turned to face Jack. "Her ex owed Daddy.. alot of money. She took the job here in an arrangement to work off the debt. The very day she agreed to it, she kicked his sorry ass to the curb. Daddy takes a percentage off her pay and tips until the debt is paid.. she could have quit or said no and then we would have broken limbs and the usual.. his, not hers."
She was close enough to only hear the last couple words as she slid up beside the table, lightly tapping Gabe in the shin with her toe. "Hers what?" She asked, giving them the chance to change the subject or tell her what they had been discussing. She smiled a little at Gabe and more for Jack as her gaze turned to him.
"Tips," Jack said, still leaning out toward the end of the bench as she came back. "Been talking about giving you a big one and a day off to spend it however you want. I think I've talked him into it."
"Oh." She was surprised and she glanced between the two men, her smile looking a bit hopeful as she purposely batted her lashes at Gabe as if trying to convince him as well. She chuckled and turned so her bag was on the edge of the table and hidden from view of the rest of the club. "Speaking of tips.. I believe I owe you this." She kept her hand down low so the stack of bills wasn't being waved around and Gabe could reach over and take it. She was used to forking over her hard earned cash each night and bringing home a smaller check, most of the money the girls made was off tips to begin with.
"Oh stop you.." Gabe chuckled at the batting lashes and shook his head. "Alright, I'm convinced. Don't let me see your pretty ass here tomorrow." He gave a nod of his head at her comment about what was owed and shifted to take the money she had for him.
Jack's hand stopped the transfer, crumpling the stack back into Delaney's more delicate fingers, staring Gabe down. "I said a -big- tip. She doesn't owe you and you won't see her pretty arse since it will be with me," he insisted slowly, coldly, directly at Gabe. Her debt was settled as far as he was concerned. "Put it on my tab," he added with a slight grin.
Delaney's eyes widened at first and she was about to insist that she did owe the money but the way he was staring Gabe down made her keep quiet. Her fingers curled around Jack's hand as the other pulled the money back into her bag. She didn't say anything while he spoke to Gabe and she waited for her boss to reply.
Gabe stared back and agreed but wasn't exactly intimidated by Jack, it was more of an understanding in his opinion and Jack was laying more claim to the pretty dancing girl by doing this. At least that was how Gabe saw things, he nodded his head with a slight chuckle. "Fine. I'll call you to find out exactly how you'd like the debt settled." It was left open for Jack to decide whether to go after the ex or what. He nodded again to them both, and refrained from slapping Del on her ass as he walked away, it was a nice ass. He smiled as he headed back toward his office to see who he might have to cover Del's shift.

"Don't call me before dinner tomorrow. I won't answer," he chuckled, speaking to Delaney more than Gabe as he pulled himself out of the booth. His open shirt rippled itself more loose as he stood and slipped arm around her to usher her out of the place. "I plan to be booked up."
Gabe just waved over his shoulder with a slight chuckle, he'd expected as much.
Del's eyes drifted down as Jack moved, appreciating the view provided by the shifting of his shirt as he stood, her tongue passed over her lips and she smiled up at him. She was fairly tall for a girl, but not quite eye to eye with Jack, a few inches shorter than the mass of muscle and man that slipped his arm around her. There were probably several people in the club who would think they made a nice couple as they headed for the door, Del shifted and wrapped her arm around his waist, tucking in under his arm with another sweet smile for him. "..and just what do you have in mind to keep you booked up that long?"
He leaned in close for her to hear, squeezing her side gently. "A lot of things to make a good girl blush and a bad girl beg.. for hours," he teased. He nodded to the bouncer on the way out with clear eye contact - he was sober enough still to take her anywhere and everywhere.
The 'new guy' was definitely bigger than Caleb but if he thought the guy wasn't in the condition to drive, he'd step in to stop him. The eye contact was met and held a moment, then he nodded and shifted to open the door for the couple as they walked out, giving them a slight smile.
Delaney blushed and continued to do so lightly as they walked out, her mind whirling from Jack's reply and of course wondering exactly what those things were as she imagined a few possibilities. Everything that came to mind, even the ones that made her blush deeper, she didn't think she'd mind or object to him doing or the both of them doing together. It had been awhile since she'd felt remotely adventurous, it felt pretty damn good just to be open to the possibilities. "I guess you'll have to 'explain' those things in depth.." She bit at her lower lip, looking to him with an expression that showed she was a good girl thinking of being very bad with him - that shy yet excited shine in her eyes.
"Ooo be still my heart," he chuckled again, pointing off toward the shiny dark car he was taking her home in. "Very in depth and incredibly... detailed," he said, thinking of a good way to tell her he wasn't going to dissappoint her, either.
She slipped in front of him, her hand still resting on his waist, the other raising up to his jaw as she stole a kiss while walking backward toward the car he indicated. "Mmm I'm looking forward to going over all the details.. very thoroughly. I'm getting a few ideas of my own that you might like." She promised with other kiss that she was going to very good to him.
"Keep getting them in case I'm out," he winked, stopping still and chasing after the kiss for a hungrier, more intense one. Without the throbbing beat of the club's music in his ears, he could focus more on her... all of her, his hands slipping up her back, pulling the skirt up a little as he did.
Wow.. the kiss was much more intense than the ones they had shared in the booth, she arched up against him, her hand digging into his shirt at his side and the other slipping around to the back of his neck. She returned the kiss with a ferocity that surprised her, he really sparked something inside her and drew out her desire more than anyone had. Part of her wanted to have at him right there in the parking lot, she felt the cooler air when his roaming hand pulled at her skirt as it slid up her back. "Mmm lots of ideas.."
"Good. I'll turn my phone off til Wednesday," he said, letting her catch her breath and not stumble as he shuffled her to the car. If Daddy needed him, however, he still needed to be found, though. "If you have more ideas than that... mm, well Gabe will just have to manage without you a few weeks."
"Well.. I do like to think of myself as quite creative.. and with a vacation to.. you, I'm sure my ideas would just flow." She was half teasing, though she'd love to take a break from the club and just spend awhile entertaining Jack, she couldn't afford to. "How about we just get away from this place.. I think I've seen enough of it for awhile." She shifted away from him a little to get into the car, once he got her door unlocked.
The alarm blipped and the bolts shifted for him to open the door and hold it for her. "Getting them to flow... mmm exactly what I have in mind," he admitted, his grin wolfish and playful.
She kissed him one more time before she slid into the shiny black car, tucking her long shapely legs inside and glancing up to him with a smile. The skirt just covered her with the way it shifted with her movements and the position of her legs in the car.

He appreciatively looked over the length of leg and the rest of the lean girl curled in his car, the grin gleaming all the way up to his shaded eyes. He closed her in and went around behind the car, checking his phone to be sure he was cleared for the night. Nothing had chimed in yet and he considered taking his chances on ignoring it if it did. He set it to only chime and slipped it away as he climbed in beside her, leaning toward her as he sealed off the outside world. "So... any ideas involving a dark parking lot and steamed windows? I'm finding my idea about that incredibly hard to ignore." He leaned further and kissed her bare knee.
She smiled as he leaned in and told her about having ideas, which seemed to work well with the ones she'd been having, she wasn't expecting the kiss over her bare knee and she gasped softly. Her eyes lit up even as she blushed softly, considering all the things they could do in the car. "Ohh well I'm open to your ideas of course.. you may need to show me alot more before I make my final decision." She reached down to run her fingers gently over his short hair and the back of his neck, she shifted her legs to invite him to explore the ideas he had, if they included more kisses like that one.
Her ideas and his were meshing well already. Her reward for accommodating his whims was another kiss above the last one and another, gliding his rough cheek over her thigh as he kissed upward to her hip, leaving her skirt perched up in his hand. She'd shifted just enough for a teasing view and he kissed the inside of her thigh, his breath warm over her chilled skin. "I'm hoping you say yes because I can't say no to that," he murmured, lingering at her lap a moment longer for another kiss before sitting up to start the car.
Her eyelids fluttered as his kiss moved up her leg, his whiskers tickled and scratched and made her shift slightly the closer he got to the hem of her skirt, she was biting her lip as he sat up to start the car. "Ohhh.." She breathed out and felt as if she was trembling with excitement, she wasn't going to say no to him. Her hand shifted to grip his leg, a firm touch that said she wanted him as much as he wanted her.
"Hold on, sweetheart... hold on tight as you want," he said, happy to have her hang on however she wanted as he pulled them out of the lot. "Think it's going to be an early night tonight, getting tucked in nice and tight soon as we get you home."
Her hand shifted a little higher on his leg and she smiled sweetly at him. "Who's home are we going to?" It sounded better than your place or mine and it allowed her to find out if he intended to fully scoop her up into his world in how he answered. It didn't matter if he took her back to her apartment or to his hotel or if he had a place of his own set up to bring her to. "Being tucked in nice and tight is just what this girl needs."
"Neutral ground. My place is too far and I don't have a toothbrush at yours... yet," he teased, turing that wolfish smile at her again. "S'what room service is for... "
"Right.." She nodded a little, neautral ground? Keeping it impersonal but mentioning a toothbrush at hers.. mixed signals or just appeasing her. "You don't want to have a toothbrush at my place, it would probably get stolen." She would have taken him there if he wanted to but she did not live in a good part of town.
"No one smart steals from me.. usually, but if you don't feel safe in your place maybe you shouldn't stay there, hm? Just a suggestion... easier said than.. you know what - tell me about this debt, this ex. Is he why your place isn't safe?"
"I never said they'd be smart to take it.." She laughed softly, trailing her fingers up and down his thigh as she spoke. "I live in a.. okay a bad area and yes my ex is part of why it's not safe. So.. I guess I know what you and Gabe were talking about.. you know about my debt and my ex. I guess I should ask how much you know before I tell you more." She looked down and chewed gently at her lip, her hand flattened but still rested on his leg. She was a bit uncomfortable but not pulling away from him, willing to talk to him honestly if he truly wanted to know about her life.
"I know I'm going to be washing a lot of dishes to make up for what I did tonight," he laughed, glancing over briefly as he drove down the strip toward the pricier part of town and its accommodations. "Or something... I'll worry about that, but tell me how in deep and where I can find this c*nt and get him to leave you be."

She sighed and brought her gaze up, studying is profile and reaching over to stroke her fingers against the side of his face and behind his ear in an affectionate gesture. "You might want to think about getting a job at the club it pays better than washing dishes.." She laughed a little sadly and shook her head. "I would have never worked there.. but it was part of the deal." Her voice sounded sad a little defeated, obviously she was put into a position she didn't want to be in but continued to do 'the right thing' because she was a good girl. "It wasn't even my debt to start with.. but you know that part. It's alot.. a hundred thousand.. I don't even know what he did with the money. He owed that much and I never saw any of it. He still comes around now and then, used to be every week. Busted in the door a few times.. " She shook her head not giving the rest of the details and shrugging. "I don't know where he is.. last I knew for sure was a couple months ago he was staying with his cousin."
"Guess I'll find out who his cousin is then and pay him a visit. I'll make him do his own dishes," he said, curling into the stroke of her fingertips. It had been a while since he'd had gentle attention like this. "Shouldn't be your debt now and you don't owe it. He does and he's going to take care of it, leave you alone and your door." His first thought if she never saw the money was that it was up the man's nose or lost on getting such a deal for someone else - just the sort of thing that would upset Daddy if it was happening on or with his property and cutting his profits in any way. The hotel and its glitter and shine was coming in view up the road and he angled toward it. "Think they'll believe me if I tell them it's prom night?"
"I broke up with him the day I found out about it.. everything happened so fast and the deal was made.. it didn't even hit me till later when Lily was fitting me for my first costume. It really happened that fast - boom, boom, boom.. and then I was standing there while she measured and rattled on about what would look good with my shape and it was like I took my first breath since that morning when the knock came at the door. I took in that breath and it all came rushing in what had happened, what I'd agreed to, what he'd done.. I sort of lost it.. cried my eyes out in a sequined bra." Her head shook a little as she told him things that were very private and very personal. "That was also the only time I cried, after that I just pulled myself up and kept going. I went home that afternoon and started making dinner, then I just looked at him sitting on our couch and I knew. He didn't really love me, more than that he didn't value me.. He'd just sat there and let them have me. He'd lied to me, sold me off basically to save his own skin.. so I stopped cooking and started packing." She bit her lip again and realized that her fingers had continued the gentle attention as she told him her story. "I never told anyone about it.. well breaking up with him yes, but not the rest." She glanced up as they came closer to the hotel, thinking about his prom comments. "I have my clothes in my bag.." She pointed down to the satchel at her feet and gave a small smile. "I can change before we go in if you want me to. I would have at the club but I was a little too eager to get back out to you."
"Mm hmm... and I'm a little eager to get to you. Don't change. I'm paying and they'll like it. If they don't, I'll tell them we'll just stay in the lobby," he said, pulling in to let the valet park the car for them and keep it off the street.
"I've thought about several different locations.. but the lobby wasn't one of them.. Hmm I suppose I'm going to have to step it up a little to keep pace with your ideas." She winked at him, slowly pulling her hands away from him to gather her bag and tug her skirt down before they stopped in front of the hotel and she had to get out.
