Aless had slept straight through from the time she finally collapsed into the bed, sometime in the course of the night she had shifted to curl up beneath Venge's wing and closer to his body. Her slippers worked their way off her feet, one resting on the end of the bed and the other dropped to the floor. She didn't stir more than that until after 9am, then slowly she began to shift and slight sighs and groans could be heard as she worked her way to waking. Finally her eyes began to flutter, then blink slowly and heavily, until they remained open and focused on what was around her. "Venge..?" She murmured, licking at her lips and otherwise acting groggy after her heavy sleep.
His hollow-boned form stirred only slightly as she moved. He'd been awake most of the night, watching to be sure she hadn't drained herself too far. He'd fallen asleep only a short time before and lay across her legs, his wing still blanketing her. The wing pulled in closer to himself with the sounds around him. Had someone spoken? He turned slightly and nestled down again, exhausted from worry.
She felt the movement of him in the bed and thought he was laying on her but her head felt heavy and she didn't lift it yet to try to look. Venge didn't answer her, so she assumed he was sleeping, it had been a long night and she didn't know what time it was other than it was daytime. There was light coming in around the edges of the curtain over the window but was it morning or afternoon? She tried to reach up to rub her eyes and felt like the blanket weighed more than it should or was she strapped down? No, she could move some, so she dismissed that idea right off. Slowly she managed to get her hand up and rubbed at her sticky feeling eyes, licking her lips again. Her mouth was dry and her tongue felt thick because of it, she needed a drink. She sighed and rolled to her side, Venge was definitely on her in some way, over her legs and she almost laughed though she was struggling to gently get out from under him without disturbing him.
He sensed more in the movement than he'd heard with her voice. The slow wave of tugging under him jostled him back into foggy consciousness and he grumbled. "Don't say I told you so... hate it when you say that," he muttered, still grumbling mostly at himself for not going out sooner. He blamed himself for Al's condition. He began to realize more that she was awake and causing the motion that stirred him and he pushed himself up. "I'm up. What's wrong? Are you sick? What hurts?" He spat out the concerns before his eyes were completely open.
"Don't worry hon, I'm not the one who's going to have morning sickness." She half heartedly laughed and propped up on one arm to look at him. "Everything sort of hurts.. like I got run over.. but it's not an ouch kind of pain more just feel heavy. I'm thirsty, mouth is dry and yuck.. I need a drink and more sugar something."
The laugh, though small, set him at ease. He stretched and shuddered his wings back into nonexistence for now and ran his hand over his face, concealing the yawn and any weakness it might portray. He was ready to help, though slow going about it. He leaned down to offer her a tender kiss. "Sugar, you say?" He chuckled, giving her a small peck of a kiss. "Water first and something to kick us both out of bed - coming up. Did I say that?" He paused, hearing himself make such an odd suggestion.
She was still pretty exhausted but not enough that the peck of a kiss was enough for her and she pouted, reaching to get another peck from him. "Why did you say that?" She asked, one eyebrow lifting a little and she looked him over, wondering what he was thinking and feeling. She reached out to try to touch him more than briefly so she might get more of a sense of that from him.
