March 24, 2009 7:58 a.m. Thornebrook Academy
It figured nothing would go right, coming back from break. He'd left his lunch at home, remembered to wear the holed-up jeans to help with the set-build after class, but forgot the speech he needed to be dressed business-like for in Debate and had no change of clothes. And now, his locker was being a shit and the buzzer had just sounded with the two minute warning for class. He'd spiked up his hair a little with gel this morning, making the fuming and fussing a little less noticeable as actual steam vapored thinly away from him as he jiggled and hit and pried... and prayed, finally slapping the locker door with the palm of his hand, rather than a fist.. he'd done that once too and regretted the dent in his knuckles afterward. Drake was a little less concerned about the mental hardware, following the slap with a less-than subtle pound of his forehead in a final frustrated THUD against the metal. Still, the door wasn't opening and his homework was safely vaulted for posterity inside. "Greaaaaat...now I have vent marks," he sighed, turning and leaning against the expansive metal wall as he rubbed his forehead, trying to think of something while the crowd in the hall thinned and vanished behind classroom doors.
Down the hall a short distance there was a petite blonde walking slowly, looking around like she might be lost. Angel was holding her notebook in one hand, her scedule in the other, and biting her lip, she actually felt too shy to ask someone where the room she needed was. It was her first day here and it wasn't shaping up too well, she felt like she wouldn't fit in at all. She had enough trouble fitting in with her own family, nevermind the rest of these kids here - the super rich with thier nice clothes, fancy cars, they had servants and all that.. it was intimidating. She didn't come from that kind of life and at her aunt's place she was being treated like.. well crap.
“Looks like I’m not going anywhere,” he mumbled. He saw the girl looking around for something, but the light was behind him and the glare off Mrs Decker’s Governments class made it hard to see. Blonde, he could tell that much and it was enough to get him away from the lockers a minute. “Hey. Help you find somethin’?”
She turned at the voice starting to give a smile and say yes, but when her eyes fell on his face she lost all words. Her jaw dropped a little and her eyes widened, she hadn't thought she'd see him again. Angel had not told on him to the club owner, but just really expected that he had walked out of her life for good when she watched him walk away from her car after their.. amazing night together. Now she just looked at him in awe, -he- went to the same school she'd been enrolled in? She closed her mouth and nodded, just taking him in as if he were rain in the desert.
He wasn’t close enough to get beyond the glare off the windows, but she’d turned to look at him and now he was curious. “What’s the matter? Parlez-vous English or whatever? C’mon, doll. What can I help you f-... Angel?” He stepped slowly, not wanting to scare her half to death since she seemed to have that deer-headlights thing going until he got close enough to see her. He chuckled and felt the heat wash through his face, delight, embarrassment, and a whole lot of questions that had nothing to do with talking out loud came to mind. “What are you doing here?”
Her voice was the first thing.. well maybe her heart cause she might have left it in a quick mart parking lot in his jeans.. no wait she could feel the actual organ slamming in her chest. Her cheeks heated and she gave him a biting her lower lip cutely smile. "Drake..." His name was more breathed out than spoken, her eyes still riveted to his face. "..hi.." She turned her schedule around to show him and half nodded. "..umm.. first day.. You?"

“Must be my last cuz I think I just died, or I’m dreaming one helluva a cool dream. Did you see someone drop me back there, cuz I don’t remember a concussion, so maybe you’re really here?” He was antsy hand-gestures and stuffed pockets, trying not to just scoop her up in a kiss. The smile might have given him away. “I didn’t think... I mean I hoped that ... hell, don’t let me try to talk today. It‘s good to see you. You have no idea. Oh, hey the bell rang already though. You probably have someplace to get to, huh? Let’s see the schedule again. Are you really... you really are here, aren’t you?”
"I was just thinking the same exact thing.. that's so .. wierd-cool.. Um.. about the dreaming.. dying.. thing.." She wet her lips with a quick pass of her tongue, she couldn't take her eyes off of him. "Except in mine.. there was this kiss that neither one of us could hold back.. and that would probably be where I wake up and chuck the alarm clock out the window.. and um.. no.. no I'm in no rush to be anywhere.." She kind of mirrored him with the hand motion then shoving it into her pocket, except with one hand, as she gave him another little smile.
He chuckled and nodded, flipping the nod to the windows behind him. “No alarm clock, and not in front of Decker’s room, but that kiss is there waiting, believe me. I just didn’t think.. I mean. Um... yeah, so about that class. C’mon, let’s get away from the windows at least.”
"Right.. right.." She nodded, not even glancing to the windows, she turned but kept her gaze on him. Almost afraid if she looked away he'd disappear into the air, and god how much she'd thought about him. "Where..are we going.. if there's a broom closet nearby.. I'll take it.. " She reached out and touched his arm, gently squeezing and pulling her hand back.. "You're really real aren't you?"
“Just out from under her watch, that’s all. She and the principal are like this and that’s not cool for your first day and all,” he said, holding his fingers close together. “I’m likin’ the broom closet idea, though. I’m real if you are.”
"Well I felt you so feel me.. and if we're both real.. then..well we are.." She bit her lip and shook her head. "Maybe I shouldn't try to talk either.." She swallowed and let out a sigh. "Where is the closest closet.. or anyplace out of the hall?"
“My locker,” he teased. “Which won’t open, so that’s out, anyway. I dunno. There’s the bathroom. We can’t leave the building. Little Johnny Hall Pass Nazi’s down there, so .. “
"Right.. so what's down there?" She pointed to a darker hall to the left, one option he hadn't pointed to.
“Music rooms and the theater. The music rooms, you need a key for, but.. nevermind. Come on this way,” he said, heading down that direction anyway.
She wanted to say and ask many things, most of all why he was even talking to her at the moment. She couldn't though and just walked quietly beside him, giving him shy glances and smiles. "Well.. this is good..." She began, biting her lip a little. "I'll need to know where these rooms are I believe." She held out her schedule to show him her overload of arts and music.
“Wow, this is cool. Hope you don’t get sick of me, cuz you’re going to see me in most of these,” he said, looking over the schedule and figuring out where she needed to be. He had a key in his pocket that jingled against three others, for the practice rooms he led her to. “Forgot about these, but this will work until the end of this period.” He unlocked one door and it swung open to a room with an electric keyboard and a recording machine.

Angel couldn't hide the smile that shone out at finding not only would she see alot of him, they shared passions for music and stage. No one she'd ever been close to had really understood or 'got that' about her. "Wow... they give you keys to this?" She admired the simple room and it's equipment, looking back at him with a slightly adoring gaze. "I must be dreaming.. " She whispered softly.
“I’m not supposed to have ‘em, at least not keep ‘em. I checked them out last night cuz I was working on something and the teacher was already gone, the office locked, so I couldn’t... eh, nevermind. Yes, they do,” he said, finding it easier to just say. “And I’m loving this dream.” He smiled, shutting the door that had the marbled glass in it so others couldn’t see in.
"So what were you worki-.." She started to ask but fell silent as the door closed, leaving them alone and out of view. Her eyes lit up just a touch and her smile fell sweetly from her pink lips. "Remind me later to ask what you were working on.. cause I am really interested, but could care less at the moment." It might have made no sense or perfect sense as her fingers curled into the front of his shirt to try and pull him close. "Now.. about that kiss..?"
He smiled and held the keys aloft to drop them on the vinyl bench beside the piano, not taking his eyes from her. His hands, once freed, reached to her cheeks to brush their warmth into his fingertips and seek that kiss. “My god, I thought you were a dream, but this... I’m taking a chance on that alarm ringing and I’m busting it in a million pieces if...,” he paused, only a moment but still holding his breath as his lips brushed over hers.
Her eyes closed as his hands touched her cheeks, real.. so real and so wanted. Her breath held until she felt the gentle brush of his lips against her. The exhale was soft and warm over him, her lips parting to taste his kiss more, her hands flattened against his chest then slid down to his sides. Her fingers curled and her arms wrapped around him, holding tightly as she leaned up to keep the kiss going and going.
“Gotta be a dream,” he whispered, snuggling into the hug and offering a quick second kiss. “How? I mean, why here? I thought you had to work and all, done with school?”
"I do have to work.. do you know what tuition costs for this place?" She frowned a little, pulling away slightly to be able to look at him as they talked, but not taking more than half a step back. "I .. well.. got sent out here to live with some relatives.. except they are too good for me. So I have to live in the guest house, find a way to pay for everything.. like my car, phone -they are nice enough to not charge me rent and I get electric and cable cause it's already there.. but well anyway.. yeah I have to work and I have to finish school and I have to pay for it.. even though they are making me go here. I mean I checked it out -it's a good school and all, but public school is alot more.. free to attend." She shrugged and sighed.
“I don’t get it,” he sighed, trying to figure why her family was doing this and making it harder on her. “Making you go here if you can’t afford it? That’s kinda stupid. No offense. Can I help?”
"Because it would be a disgrace for a Darwin to go to public school... you can't be serious.. my god the humiliation!" She did quite the impersionation of her aunt and the haughty voice he might be familiar with if he knew the family, since her cousins went to the school and all.
“Darwin? You never said anything about them. Um, they kinda don’t like my family a whole lot, well, not that many do,” he cringed, looking a little pale. This wasn’t turning out to be as crystal pretty a dream as it had started. “Or the humiliation of finding you hanging out with a Veinna.”

"Really? What's wrong with a Veinna? Is it really bad? Do you think maybe they'd disown me like they did my dad when he married my mom?"
“Yeah, probably,” he sighed again, sliding back to sit on the bench. The keys were pulled up in his hand to fidget with as he watched her. “Angel, I’m sorry, but your family really doesn’t like mine. Can’t say I like your family too much at the moment either for making you go through this just for school.“
She folded her arms and watched how he pulled back, she had no idea why their families wouldn't like each other.. her cousins were like the nicest girls she'd met though their parents left much to be desired in that way. "So.. are you like breaking up with me cause of who I'm related to?" She tried to make it sound like a joke but she felt.. unbelievably hurt that he would hold this against her. ".. so I guess, I'll see you around or what ever.. prolly not cause apparently now I have the plague." She knelt down to scoop up her notebook and sighed, shaking her head and muttering to herself. "Should have known better.. so stupid.. thinking for a second there was one thing here that would make all the shit worth it.." She stuffed her schedule into the notebook, what would she need it for? Might as well ditch the rest of her classes for the day.
“Hey, I didn’t say that, now did I? Come on back here, please? I’m not going anywhere. I’m just thinking what you’re likely going to have to put up with is all. I’m not exactly the crown prince of my family, either, which isn’t going to make it any easier,” Drake reached his hand out to her to keep her from going. “Sounds like Romeo and Juliet, sure, but it’s not that glamorous and I’ll tell you now, I’m not going near blades or poison for anyone. Nobody’s ever told me who to like and they’re not starting now. I just don’t want you miserable because of what might happen.”
She laughed though it sounded more sad than amused and her hand lifted to rest over her mouth lightly. "Let me tell you a little secret Drake.. I'm miserable now. I've been miserable since my mom died and meeting you was the first thing that made me feel good since.. really made me feel good..in like feels like forever since I felt good inside..and of course that scared me but you know I was kinda getting over that.. and just thinking how cool it was to see you again. I'll tell you something else.. I'm already the black sheep of the family, just because of who my mom is.. no matter what I do.. my aunt and uncle are gonna give me shit."
“Then since you already know what you’re in for..,” his hand gestured for hers again and he nodded for her to come back to sit with him. “Aunt and uncles, bless them, that’s about you can do with them. My uncle is the reason my world is difficult. My dad’s a great guy, sweet and harmless, strict enough, don’t get me wrong, but my uncle? Hoo boy. Yeah, my dad and your dad could probably talk about that black sheep thing for days. But anyway it’s put, I’m not one with much say or anything cuz I’m not my uncle’s son, if that makes any sense. My other uncles are crazy as the day is long and I’m not sure it’s not hereditary, cuz I sure have my moments. If you think you could put up with that, I’m willing to try. I want to try, but I don’t want you hurt in the process cuz the adults we deal with are the worst kids I’ve ever known.” He winked and offered a little smile, reaching to the recorder behind him to rewind and search for a section.
Her lip caught between her teeth as she listened to him, feeling a slight swell of tears that she mostly blinked away, one or two strays broke free to roll down her cheek as she came to sit beside him. "If I thought my dad.. you're dad sounds nice. Mine used to be.. now he's just so sad, I think he's broken. I'm watching him go through it and I can't even touch what he's feeling.. my mom was the love of his life.." She spoke in a hushed voice and shook her head sadly, she really didn't know if he was going to make it 'back'.

“Until he meets someone at the right time. Course, the girl my dad’s seeing now was brought in for him with a big red bow, I heard, so maybe we’ll have to help him out somehow,” he mused, stopping the recording and letting it play. “I don’t know how you feel about old love songs, but this is what I’ve been working on. That’s Billy and this me.” He turned to the keys and flipped a switch or two before starting to play along with the Billy Joel song.
"Old love songs are usually the better ones.. like all good things they only get better with age." Angel smiled, her eyes shining the warmth that showed she sincerely believed her words. "Do you really believe that?.. what you said about my dad.. that you could just get over losing the love of your life like that?"
“Not a word of it,” he said, turning a little to speak over his shoulder as he played quietly. “Just like I wouldn’t ever want my dad to ever forget his first love. She was my mom, you know? But he’s a doctor. You see, he always had to have that ‘bedside’ face or whatever for the kids, always happy on the outside and smiling for his clients, but you could always tell there was something right behind it that always hurt. Well, not even that. Just empty, really. Until he met Fauve. Now, it helps she’s like the hottest broad on the planet... present company excepted... but yeah, I think he’s happy again.”
She leaned her head lightly against his arm, nearly on his shoulder but not quite, trying not to hinder his playing. Her eyes closed and she smiled some. "Fauve.. that is the prettiest name.. guess she'd have to be pretty hott with a name like that. Is she nice?.. do you get along with her?"
“I guess. We don’t see them very much these days if you know what I mean,” he chuckled. “But if I had the choice to pick a step-mom, she’d be a good one.”
"I just want to see my dad smile again.. I want him to be happy.." Her eyes remained closed and she took a soft deep breath. "Thats why I put up with my b*tch aunt.. I just can't make things worse for him right now.."
“So don’t tell him. About this, me, at least not yet. Can’t imagine that’s going to be easy for you, either,” the song ended and he curled an arm around her. “I can help keep it quiet though.”
"I might tell him about you.. I think he'd like you.. just not about the other stuff.. he would not like that at all.. You know any jobs at the mall that will pay the bill for this place?.. yeah me either.. "
“Can tell him the truth. That you’re in a show, but make sure he thinks it’s like school play or a concert. You have enough of those classes to pull it off and you have someone willing to cover for you,” he mused further, trying to reassure her. “I’d tell him my name is Smith or something, though.”
"Drake.. shut up. I'm not going to lie to him about you.. well anymore than to say we met at school.. I already have enough to keep track of.. you know? Besides.. he's been gone for like twenty years.. I don't think he'd care much what your name is."
“Maybe not mine, but my Uncle’s another story. I just want to be sure, you know? About not wanting to wake up from that dream any time soon. Wanna go on sleeping right here.”
"Would you quit it?.. what is the deal.. why haven't I seen the beware and wanted posters for your family if they are so bad?"

“Because they pay people big, big money not to be heard of, okay? That’s what they do. And you didn’t hear that from me. It’s all business and stuff,” he said, sincere and even a little afraid for having even said that much out loud. "Okay.. so you're all big money too? And here I am whining about my lot.. embarrassing.. " Her eyes fluttered open and she looked up at him. "Just.. if I ever happened to meet them -I wouldn't have to bow or anything would I?"“Oh, please. It’s business, not freakin’ royalty, Angel. And I told you, I’m no prince... far from it. Does this look like big money to you? Personally, I can’t stand it. I just want to do my own thing. Music, stage, that’s my thing. Not pushing pencils for stuffed shirts, okay?” "Woah.. easy.. okay.. does this shirt looked stuffed to you?" She blinked in surprise at his reaction. "I'm not asking you to do anything like that.. I like you just like this. Hell be a musician for the rest of your life.. if that's what makes you happy."“It does make me happy,” he said, seeming to pout a little. “Makes my dad worry a little, too, but hell, he’s a doctor. I’m not like that. I write and play, but math and science, forget it. I’m just doing what I gotta. I don’t want to be a musician the rest of my life, either. The stage, babydoll, that’s what’s calling me. Footlights and greasepaint, all the way.” "Okay.. you weren't kidding.. you're kinda nuts!" She grinned, tilting her head back to let it shine up to him. "You should follow where your heart tells you to go."Drake nodded, a spark of mischief breaking the pout as he reached to steal a kiss. “Yeah, I should. Starting right here.” "mmmm I like that... What else might it be telling you?" She smiled and reached one hand up to the back of his neck to pull him into another kiss. “Telling me I better check your schedule to find out what teachers I need to forge a note to to explain your absence for the rest of the day,” he grinned, sliding with her down off the bench to the floor. She was wearing a skirt today and it shifted around her thighs as she lowered beneath him and brought her leg up his side. "Check it later.. I'm brand new -they won't even miss me till tomorrow."“Sounds good to me,” he murmured, noting already the advantage of having more room than the tiny seat of her car as she shifted around him. As deftly as his fingers had moved over the keys, he stroked over her cool skin, moving the skirt away further. “Mind if I check this now?” His hands were warm and teased lightly. "Drake.. if you don't.. I might hurt you." She winked and started to slide her hands over him, curling around him a little more. He really hoped he’d closed the door well. It was automatically locked at least. He didn’t give it another thought as he knelt closer, feeling the holes at his knees tear further to better comfort. “Forget what I said earlier, you’re the hottest broad on the planet,” he whispered, admiring what he was looking over, touching gently as he moved the cloth away to kiss her softly. "Shhh.. am not.." She sighed out softly, closing her eyes as he touched and kissed. Her hands gently rubbed his shoulders and one hand slid to curl lightly in his hair.[[Scene edited for content, unedited version on our sister site]]

************************ A few more whispers and a few more suggestions and Drake was starting to think of places they could go. They couldn't risk being caught here. One period, sure, but getting out later would get harder and harder for others not to notice. "I've got it! Hang on," he said, double checking everything they had was where it needed to be as soon as the passing period started again in a minute. They'd have to jump quick, so the call would have to be quick, too. Biff would know! He must have picked up quick as Drake started into quick explanation and begging, his face lighting up as his watchdog-slash-scapegoat told him about a townhouse. “Sweet. Thanks, man. You have nooo idea,” he said as he hung-up. “Okay. So you and me, we have a little place to call our own for the day, if that’s okay with you?” He was all smiles and mischief now, grabbing the tape out of the recorder and tucking his shirt back in. Angel was full of mischief as well, sliding around him from behind and untucking his shirt as he tucked it in. She giggled softly, kissing and nibbling his neck and ear. "mmm I think you convinced me.. let's go."“Hey,” he pouted, scooting out from under the ‘attack’ to turn and tickle her back. “I’m thinking a lot of things. So, I sign your note if you sign mine? Biff won’t say anything as long as I keep caught up and still pass, so we’re good. And you... are really good.” He hummed, trying to snake around her for another kiss. "Well gimme the dang note!" She smiled and shook her head at his compliment. "I'm very baaad.. look at me, first day and I already have you ditching with me." “I probably would have skipped anyway. My locker and I have an understanding, we hate each other, especially when assignments are due. No sweat, really,” he smiled, curling back around her. “I think I can deal with very baaad.” "Good.. cause I don't feel like being anything but baaad right now.. come on before someone stops us." She leaned up to kiss him. “They’d have to be stupid, or more crazy than me,” he winked. “Let’s go. He said there’s a key there. Speaking of keys, these have to go back in the office down the hall, then we’re good. Ready?” "Alright.. lead the way since you know so much about this place.. I just want to duck out a window and roll in the grass." She giggled and wrapped one arm around his waist. “That sounds good to me too. Oh. Do you have a comb? Nevermind, here,” he figured his hair was as toussled as hers at the moment, but he encouraged her to help smooth his out with her fingers. "Mmm baby stop teasing me.." She purred leaning against his chest as she ran her fingers through his hair, she reached for a kiss and she 'fixed' his hair. “Nope, not a chance. You let me get started, it’s your own fault,” he winked. “Okay. Time to brave the daylight.” He looked them both over and sighed. They were plenty rumpled, but it was between classes at least and they could fold into the mix in the hall now. He opened the door and peeked out. “Now or never.” He hopped out into the student traffic, hoping she was right behind him. Angel tucked her notebook under her arm and followed behind him, reaching to grab his hand as they shifted through the mass of student filling the halls now. "Just don't lose me okay?" She half teased, her fingers giving his a little squeeze. His hand tightened around hers as if to say ‘not a chance’ though he was suddenly serious and watching the halls. Now would be a really bad time to happen to run into any of their teachers or any of his siblings, or her cousins. The office was only a half a hallway down and the only stop they really needed to make. “Okay, wait here. If your cousins show up, just head to your car. I’ll find you.” "Okay." She nodded watching the halls for her cousins but not too worried about running into them. She was reluctant to let his hand go as he stepped away, her's lifting -still twined in his and gently breaking free the farther he got away. Wow, he thought, feeling like he’d left part of himself behind even for that brief moment. He was caught in trivial conversation almost immediately by the choir teacher asking about his project. Several nods and gestures later, he handed the man his tape, explaining it away as the first part and that he needed to complete the rest. Finally able to sneak free, he hoped Angel was still waiting. She had moved from where he'd left her, only a few feet though, her cousins had been busy chatting and the slight shift had allowed them to pass her by without noticing her. She kinda had her head down -pretending to read some notes, but her natural beauty still seemed to make her shine more than the designer clad students that passed by. He looked out in a panic when she wasn’t there and sighed in relief, finding her not too far off afterall. “Geez, you scared me, doll. You okay? Anyone give you a hard time?”

"Sorry.. just trying to blend in.. did it work?" Her smile sparkled at him and she closed the notebook, tucking it back under her arm. "No.. no hard time.. "
He grinned, nearly chuckling at the thought in his head. “Okay, then enough blending and let’s go.. um.. play house for a bit,” he whispered in her ear, taking a moment to kiss her neck.
Angel's giggle was soft and she snuggled to him. "Okay.. you be the boy and I'll be the girl." She loved the feel of his kiss on her neck and her eyes closed briefly. Her hand slid back into his and she tugged, moving in the hall but staying close to him.
“Everything you’re saying sounds good to me so far,” he agreed. They’d made it this far and there wasn’t any trouble yet. He could only hope they’d make it out to the lot as easily.
She wasn't as familiar with the school as he was and so she let him lead them out. Her car was in the side lot and she motioned to him to let him know. "So far so good." She whispered as the brighter sunlight poured to them from the lot.
“Looks like home free from here,” he muttered, heading that way. “Do you know the town pretty good? It’s not far from here at least.” He pulled out the scrap he’d put the address of the townhouse on to hand to her. “Building C, unit 24. I guess it’s some place we set up clients when they stay in town a while or something. Who knows. It’s ours for today, though.”
Angel nodded, looking around a little, she wasn't as sure of this place as she'd been in her last school. She was happy to ditch though, and would rather spend the day with him but was getting nervous about that too. He had money it seemed, lots of it, like her cousins and that made her nervous. Her fingers tightened around his hand and she gave him a small smile. "You know me and getting around this town.. you'll have to be my navigator."
"Great," he smiled, uneasily. He didn't drive yet, not that he really needed to. He had a motorcycle that was his dad's but he hadn't ridden it much yet. "We'll get there... eventually. How about we take tomorrow off too, just in case?"
She laughed softly and shook her head, not that she wasn't considering it. "Won't you get in a mess of trouble for skipping, this place seems kinda strict.. I'm new and haven't really even started, so I might be able to slide.. but I don't wanna get you in trouble."
"Probably. But it will be worth it," he grinned. "I'm actually ahead in most of my classes. I ... well I have this sleep issue... like as in I don't, so I just keep going until I pass out. That's not the same as sleeping."
"Yeah.." She murmured softly, digging for her keys with one hand while the other held his firmly. "Hmm maybe we can come up with some creative ways to tire you out and relax you.. " She smiled and gave him a wink. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes to help you get some sleep."
"Hey, what if I don't want to sleep? With you around, I can say I really don't want to," he defended, his cheeks getting a slight tint of pink as he realized he was talking about sleeping with or without her, out loud and they weren't in the car yet. "Yeah, well, shhh," he looked around with a cute grin. "I'm willing to let you do whatever it takes as long as we don't ... you know... whatever that was back there. I'm not letting go if you're not, a'ight?"

"As long as we don't what?" She gave him a questioning look as she pulled her keys free and guided him to her car. She found the smile he'd just given, simply adorable and had the urge to pull him into a shower of kisses. There was something about him, they way his hand felt in hers.. like it was some kind of perfect and she just wanted more of him.
"Nothing, not a thing," he murmured, beyond delighted in the kisses. "Keep that up and we're playing right here, doll." He lifted her hand to kiss her knuckle like he was some knight or prince bound to sweep her and her heart away. The overly-grand sweep of his hand toward her car even made him chuckle a little. "Our chariot..."
She smiled at his gesture and giggled, nearly tackling him in a hug and holding him tightly for a moment. "I think.. I might be crazy about you." She smiled, inching closer to the car, but not wanting to let go of him.
Drake couldn't help but smile and keep smiling in return. "Crazy's a good word to go with me," he nodded gently, liking the sound of it no matter how she meant it. "And I don't think, I know... crazy about you, but, well, this is me and crazy... nuf said. I can't hardly wait to get there. This parking lot is going to suck... all that gravel in all the wrong places..."
The warmth in her eyes and the naughty tinge in her smile might have hinted that she was considering pulling him down right there, regardless of the gravel. Her mouth brushed his again as she pulled the car door open, nearly shoving him inside. "Hurry or we'll be picking gravel out for days." She warned him, curling around him to slide into the car as well instead of going around the other side to get in. "Mmm I like how you, me, and crazy fit together.. feels really good."
He nodded, the 'uh huhn' silenced in the stolen kiss. He wasn't letting her get as far as the driver seat without that sugar on his lips to taste for the drive. "Fandamntastic," he muttered.
He got a little more than just a taste as she straddled him and raked her fingers into his hair. She held him with her hands curled gently at the back of his head and neck, kissing him passionately for a couple minutes. Her notebook and purse were tossed haphazardly in the back, keys dropped on the seat next to them. "Mmm baby.." She cooed, trying to pull away from the kiss but drawn to more.
"An-... Angel.. um," he murmured to catch his breath, though he could have died happily without it with this kiss. He groaned quietly, the chuckle starting to rattle through them both. "Angel... we better go. At least get to the quickie mart, hm? Damn... would be worth it though..."
She pouted, nipping softly at his lips as she slid herself into the drivers seat. "Tell me which way to go.." She murmured, getting the car started and pulling out of her parking spot. Her right hand left the wheel and reached to find his to lace into rather than tugging her skirt back into place, which was hiked up her legs some from crawling into the car like she had.
"Straight to hell with me? Um... okay, up at the pull-in, turn right then left at the light," he said, not even watching out the window, instead watching her.
She turned and caught his gaze with a playful wink and a soft smile. "Aren't angels supposed to take you to heaven?" She followed his directions, hoping he knew where he was going. She had to watch the road so she couldn't watch him to know he was only watching her.

"See the big orange sign on the left? Make the next left after that, then it's something like a few blocks or miles or something and it's on the right."
She chuckled and shook her head. "Um.. hun, is it a few miles or blocks? Kind of a big difference there.. "
He sighed and turned to the window a moment to try and get a reference. He was used to being driven and didn't really think about it much. "Um... I don't know. Sorry. I'll just try to help keep an eye out for it I guess. We have to go past Maple ... or Marble... something."
"Wow and I thought I was lost around here." She teased, giving his hand a light squeeze. "Baby I'd get lost with you anytime.. I just kinda want to get where we're going.. though I'm not opposed to just pulling off to the side of the road."
"Hey, I know where we're going, I just... I don't... I mean, I'm not used to having to know, okay? I just get taken places. It's the left up there and we go for ... a while and then there's a sign someplace around the M streets and it's on the right. It's... it's about... less than ten minutes with hitting a light or two. Does that help?"
She gave him another look as he spoke of just being taken places, it was so different here, she sighed. "Yeah.. that does help.. will you recognise the street?" She asked softly, nodding to what he'd told her and paying attention to where she was going, the turn was coming up and she was careful when taking it.
"I think so," he turned back with a smile. "We could just try every place and break into one that looks empty."
She laughed and shook her head, glancing to him with a brighter smile. "Or we could find the right one and have a really great time without the cops arresting us for breaking and entering!"
"Then trust me, I know where we're going," he teased. "Would still be worth it, though."
She pulled his hand up and kissed his fingers giving him a sweet smile and pointing to a road sign. "Is this our turn?"
"Yup, then the second star and straight on til morning," he murmured, looking around for familiarity. "Yeah, this way for a while. Hey, you know what, I think there's a quick mart thing on the corner that we're looking for. You know this whole town really, I could probably give directions by those?"
"Really? That's.. kinda odd.. it's not the quick mart.." She gave him a blushing glance and shy kind of smile, chuckling softly. "How soon till we get there?"
"Soon... soon-ish. There's a grey building like a tire place then there's a restaurant and shopping thing and I think there three lights, maybe four. That was one."

"Okay.. so we'll keep driving." She hummed softly and reached with his hand to flip on her cd player, and gave him a slight grin as Billy Joel came floating from her speakers.
"Timing is everything... the sinners are much more f-u-n... darlin' only the good die young...," he started to sing along quietly. Something somewhere in the song seemed to pull another layer of him to the surface along with the wicked grin.
She laughed softly, happily as he sang along and her eyes sparkled brightly as she glanced at him. Her expression showing that she was delighted with his singing and having fun just being with him. She watched for the landmarks he'd given her and kept driving, moving in her seat a little as she 'danced' along with the music.
"Sooner or later.... hey this is our turn... I might as well be the one... you know that only the good die young." He hoped she didn't miss it, but even if they did, they were in the right neighborhood.
She let go of his hand and tapped the brakes, needing both hands to spin the wheel as she made the quick and sudden turn. She was actually a pretty good driver, even if she'd only had her license for about a year. Her tires kicked up some sand from the street but they didn't slide and she'd been cruising along when he pointed out their turn. Angel gave him a look once they were on the right road and going straight, to check he was okay and not freaked or anything by the 'daredevil' manuver.
He continued singing, offering the same smile as before and a wiggle of his eyebrow, not worried in the slightest and finding it another kind of turn-on that she might be just as crazy as he was. He pointed to the streets that were going in alphabetical order... they were on G and passing H.
He might notice she tended to have a bit of a heavy foot, she was not a slow granny driver by any means but not speeding so much she'd get pulled over. She did have one ticket for that though, which is why she was a little more careful now, at the time she'd not even realized how fast she was going. Angel sighed and watched the street signs whiz past, slowing down as they got closer to the 'M's. "Getting there.. " She commented cheerily and took his hand again if he'd let her now that they were cruising comfortably again.
"Mmm hmmm," he hummed as the song changed. He turned it down a little and reached for his wallet. He hadn't mentioned that there was a gate at the front they'd need to get through. "Um, you're going to need this when we get there. Needless to say, we're not going to be bothered by hardly anybody." He pulled out his ID to give to her for the guy at the booth when they pulled up.
She held his ID in her hand and glanced to him again, giving him a look of -what the ? Flipping the ID over in her fingers a few times now as she drove, eyeing the gate as they got closer. She didn't say anything but more and more she was starting to feel like she was getting in over her head. Her aunt and uncle had their money and all that but Angel and her family had never lived like this. She slowed the car way down and crept up towards the gated drive. "This the right one?" She didn't want to go to the wrong place and be more embarrassed.
"This is the right one. You okay?" He watched closely, perceptive to the way she turned the card in her fingers. "Biff was supposed to take care of this part for us, so we should be good. Just smile pretty... like you wouldn't anyway." His hand reached to snug over hers.

Her hand moved away from his to slip the ID into her other hand to have it ready to show. She glanced to him with a faded smile as her hand dropped back down, brushing his lightly. "Just not used to this kind of thing.. I drive a beat up bug.. and you have guards and gates at a house you put up business clients in sometimes.. " She shook her head, not knowing how to explain how it all made her feel so insignifigant.
"Nut uhn... my family does, not me," he said a bit bitterly, trying to reassure her. "It is what it is, but it's not really how I live or want to live. I'll tell you more about that once we're inside Fort Knox over here, a'ight? It's just a place like any other, just one where nobody's gonna look or ask or care. Just you, me and the fly on the wall."
Her fingers brushed his hand again and she sigh-laughed, shaking her head a bit. "This is pretty intimidating, you know." Her smile was all but gone as she handed over the ID looking up at the gates and the house, but as she turned to look at Drake a moment, her smile did brighten quite a bit.
"I hope you get used to it cuz family's still family and I can't choose 'em, but I can choose to be with you, right?" He leaned down and around so the guy in the booth could match his squirrely cheeked grin to the picture. The man didn't say a word, but nodded and handed the card back. The gate whirred into movement a moment later. "See? Not so rough. Okay 24 and C and I guess, pull around to the right here and we park."
She gave him a curious look and a small warmer smile when he spoke of getting used to it and choosing to be with her. It made her feel pretty good that he would think in those kind of terms about her. "Right over here?" She asked quietly as she eased the car through the gates and up to the right side.
He nodded, then realized she probably was watching the street and not him. "Um, yeah, right up here. See it's mostly empty anyway. Working stiffs, gotta love 'em. I mean... not like us since we should be in class and all, not like... um... yeah, just park up here and we go up and get the key in the fake rock or whatever it is."
He got a small chuckle from her as she relaxed just a bit, driving up and parking off to the right. "You have guards at the gate but the key is in a fake rock? Don't you find that odd?" She smiled some, turning the car off and pulling the keys out as she turned her gaze on him again.
"It's a gadget sorta novelty seemed-like-a-good-idea... it's a guy thing, shuddup," he chuckled. "Yeah so it sounds weird, but it's so the key's always there and doesn't get lost in the snow or whatever, not really to keep people out, you know?"
She laughed a little harder at his 'gut thing' explanation and the rest was nodded to with an amused expression. "Uh huh.." Was her reply as she bit her lip and leaned to wrap an arm around his shoulders and pull him to a quick but sweet kiss before they got out of the car.
"Mmm... we don't have to hurry to find that key. Rocks don't run very fast," he murmured, not letting her get too far.
Her laugh was soft and muffled as she returned to kissing him softly. Angel pulled back slightly to whisper. "Come on.. you can give me the grand tour, starting with the floor just inside the door."

"Sounds.... um.... grand," he chuckled, his cheeks tinting suddenly pink, but only for an instant. "Definitely more room in there. Tons more, though I'm not going any further away than this... right about here." He snuck another kiss and popped his door open.
Her eyes lit up a little, watching the blush and loving it, there was so much about him already that she adored. It was almost as if someone had plucked him right out of her dreams and included things she didn't even know she liked. She laughed and hurried out her door to meet him for the walk to the house and to curl into his arm.
Barely a step or breath inside the door, Drake let go of the small thread of control he had remaining. Once out of the line of sight of the outside world, a place he could just 'be' without a name or a guard or an expectation, he was all hers, barely getting his feet in the door to close it and express what he'd been holding back.
His letting go worked perfectly with her doing the same. As they stepped inside the place, she was turning and pulling him to her into a kiss that came from deep within. She hands were roaming over him and tugging him towards the floor. She wanted more of him and NOW. Angel had never even come close to feeling anything like what she felt with Drake. Her mouth was sweet and enticing, clinging tenderly to his.
He kicked the door closed and followed into a delighted tangle, shuffling the welcome mat around the small tiled area of the entryway. There was a large expanse of well-furnished playroom beyond they hadn't even looked at yet, not to mention the stocked bar that Biff had failed to mention. The place was a paradise and all theirs at least until morning. Drake paused in the kisses only long enough to be sure the boys didn't have a look-out on the stairs or cameras in the corners... f*ck 'em if they did. Right now he didn't care and he was over 18... what could they do?
The fingers of one hand curled into his hair, holding him to her kiss or not so she could explore. Trailing over his neck with nibbles and back to devour his lips, Angel was wrapped up in him and nothing in the world existed but the two of them delighting in each other in their hideaway. She hadn't even glanced at the rest of the place, the only thing she cared about exploring was Drake.
Hours. He could spend hours, even days, just laying here. They'd moved down to the floor and he'd slipped to his back, looking up and admiring, curling, craning, stretching and encouraging her to go wherever she wanted. The expanse and freedom was exactly that... freeing... compared to the cramped and public feeling of her car although that held a certain thrill.. the worry of discovery that he didn't need to worry about here. He was already aching for just a little bit more. "Got all night, Angel, take your time," he chuckled softly, wanting to race to a finish in his need and want, but wanting to linger forever with her like this.
"All night." She whispered with a small smile against his neck, the next thing he'd feel would be her hands slipping beneath the hem of his shirt. ".. but I need you.. now." She added, kissing and feeling his slim frame under her fingers he was a bit skinny but damn near perfect to her. ".. all night means more time to do this again, and again.. and mmm baby."
"Well then give me some sugar," he smiled, snaking and wiggling to help the shirt out of her way. His thin frame was tight like a spring with the strength of a performer and someone not afraid of hard physical work. All the better to hold her with, he mused, mirroring her actions to free her of her blouse.

His sugar was delivered and dripped over his lips with tender care, the kisses lingering, passionate and tender at once. She pulled away just long enough to let him slip the shirt off over her head and she was bringing more sweet sugar to his mouth.
"Now that's what I'm talkin' about," he teased, reaching up to meet her kiss and work his way down to the rest.
"Shhh no talking with your mouth full." She teased him, curling down over him, skin to skin now.
"You either," he chuckled, getting giddy-ticklish and squirmy as she moved over him. "Damn, how that feels... makes me... oooo yeah, I'm thinking so," he smiled, getting squirmy enough to show her rather than say how restless he was getting. He glanced to the couch only a few feet away but miles if it meant moving. He wasn't, he was staying right here, rolling beside her to whisper his version of 'here.. now' over her neck and tangling to shed everything in his way.
Angel's eyes closed and she curled her fingers more tightly as his kiss and breath tickled and chilled over her neck. "Mmmhmmm." She sighed, shifting and tugging to help him slip the rest of their clothes off. She delighted in each inch of skin revealed and sliding against each other.
Not a thought or care beyond her was in his mind though the cold tile caused a shiver underneath the glorious ones she was making him feel. It was so different, with room to move and light to admire, damn she was beautiful. With a punk like him? He was beyond grateful. Love. It had to be. No girl had really turned his head let alone his crank... and man had she ever. "Absof*ckinglutely," he murmured out loud in response to thoughts.
"Me too.." She whispered softly, kissing his shoulder and curling her arms around him. She felt the shiver and could feel the cool tile under them, she didn't want to untangle from him, but they were both a little cold. "Baby.. are you cold?" She nudged him a little, an offer to help him find someplace warm to nestle and to heat them both up.
"Hadn't thought about it," he sighed out, really not wanting to move. He responded to the nudge with a nod to the not-so-distant couch, but if they had that, they had a jacuzzi tub and the bar and pool table, and three rooms to chase and dodge between. Once he moved, he wanted to play, run and be wild, and wilder with her. He rolled up to his knees and pulled her up with him. "Catch me," he winked, moving to standing and slowly starting to count like playing hide and seek, though he never took his eyes off her as he backed away, wanting her to follow and land wherever they would.
She gave a little 'meow' and rolled onto all fours, wiggling her back end a little. The spark of playfulness was clear in her eyes as she got to her feet, giggling. With a little 'war cry' of "Baaaaby!" Angel ran and leapt to wrap around him, arms in tangle around his shoulders and legs around his waist.
He spun her around a few times, making himself dizzy, but he didn't care. He was laughing too hard to notice by the time he'd wheeled them back around to the couch to tip backwards over the arm of it. If he was cold, he didn't notice.
