Fortress Dark

Legends say that for many thousands of years a war has been raging between heaven and hell. This war was quietly fought behind the scenes of our modern countries and cities, with only an occasional disruptance of a small scale giving any hint that demons and angels existed and clashed. It was safer for the mortals not to know and they were allowed to continue their lives in a mostly ignorant bliss. Occasionally a mortal was pulled into the fight, whether knowingly or accidentally, which kept the stories alive as legend or myths but most preferred not to know the truth.
